E3 will offer gamers the chance to “see the greatest games lineup in Xbox history”, Microsoft has said.

The platform holder hyped its line-up while revealing plans for this year’s show, where it’s expected to show off a closer look at Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6 and Halo 5: Guardians, and reveal unannounced titles “coming in 2015 and beyond”.

At least one new Gears of War title is expected to be revealed at the show – including an Xbox One remaster of the original game – with an unannounced title from Rare also likely to be shown off.

Microsoft’s E3 press conference gets underway at 5:30pm on June 15, with the show beginning one day later on June 16.

A “lot of exciting reveals” are also planned for Gamescom later this year.
