It’s that time of the year when gamers can snag a bunch of games at heavily discounted prices, and, with the advancement of the internet, do so from the comfort of their homes without having to venture out to a store on Black Friday. And while it used to only possible to get steep savings once a year, Black Friday now essentially runs for an entire week. While Microsoft’s deals won’t really have anything for PlayStation or Nintendo gamers, there’s still plenty of opportunities for Xbox players to pick up some new games and hardware. Those looking for other platforms may want to check out GameStop’s early Black Friday deals.
Console Deals
Of course, it wouldn’t be a real Black Friday sale without some deals on Xbox consoles. While there are similar deals going on at retailers like Walmart, Microsoft is running some pretty hot discounts on Xbox hardware right now. The Xbox One S All-Digital edition is on sale for $149.99, putting the console at a much more compelling price point for a system without a disk drive. The One S and the One X have also been bundled with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, but for those that aren’t interested in the latest entry in the Star Wars Universe will also find other bundles for $199 or $349 on the Microsoft website.
- Xbox One S All Digital Edition - $149.99 Xbox One S Jedi: Fallen Order Bundle - $199.99 Xbox One X Jedi: Fallen Order Bundle - $349.99
Game Deals
Microsoft is also offering up to 67% off hundreds of different video games. There are plenty of hot deals currently listed, with major new releases getting some sharp discounts - even Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, though it has some better prices elsewhere. Plus, those with an active Xbox Live Gold Subscription can save a few more bucks on most games. There are too many games to list all of them, but some of the standouts are:
- Gears 5 - $29.99 Borderlands 3 - $40.19 Ghost Recon: Breakpoint - $29.99 Code Vein - $35.99 The Outer Worlds - $44.99 Mortal Kombat 11 - $29.99 Red Dead Redemption 2 - $29.99 Control - $38.99 The Witcher 3 - $11.99 Far Cry 5 - $14.99
Accessory Deals
Microsoft is also running some deals on accessories as well. This mostly includes controllers, which Microsoft is offering for $20 off. For those looking for a controller with a little more flair, Microsoft is also taking $10 off of Xbox Design Lab controllers, which makes it one of the best opportunities to pick up a custom controller. There are also some sales on a few pairs of gaming headsets.
There are still other deals out and about for Black Friday, so it’s a good idea to shop around and find the best ones. Plus, more deals will continue to pop up as Black Friday gets closer, though there are certainly some prices worth pulling the trigger on now. Quite a few of them also seem to be running a bit later than Black Friday itself.
