Into the Badlands season 3 is the show at its best. Ghost Story Games is seeking a cinematic narrative scripter for its latest venture, described to be a ‘creatively ambitious project in the immersive sim genre.’ (via OnlySP). Ghost Story Games was previously Irrational Games, the studio behind two of the BioShock games, Freedom Force, SWAT 4, and System Shock 2. It was founded by three former employees of Thief developer Looking Glass Studios: Ken Levine, Jonathan Chey, and Robert Fermier. Levine was integral to the development and success of BioShock, and though the company passed on BioShock 2, he was the creative director and lead writer on BioShock Infinite and Burial at Sea....

Hideo Kojima struggled to get live-action clips in Metal Gear Solid, not for technical reasons but because of a lack of contacts. In a series of tweets on his Japanese account, he shared some background information on the game celebrating the 35th anniversary of the series (thanks SiliconEra). Kojima wanted to push the realism of his fictional story using real war footage and, of course, the PlayStation console was able to play compressed film so this wasn’t a technical limitation....

What is claimed to be the full starting roster for the upcoming Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite has leaked onto NeoGAF. If accurate, it reveals some big names haven’t made the cut for the base roster. The X-Men are out on their ear, along with Capcom faves like Wesker and Jill from Resident Evil, C. Viper from Street Fighter, and Phoenix Wright from, um, Phoenix Wright. Developer Deck Nine has announced that it will be delaying the launch of the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection into early next year. A tweet from the game’s official account broke the news to fans. It said “due to the ongoing challenges of the worldwide pandemic, we want to alleviate any additional pressure on the Life is Strange team by giving more time between the release of Life is Strange: True Colors and the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection....

The revived Destroy All Humans game is fun and flashy, but its outdated design and its overly faithfulness to the original are a letdown. “Efforts to preserve this forgotten series are admirable, but Destroy All Humans is the perfect example of what can go wrong when reviving an aging B-grade game. An overall low-budget feel and outdated design make Destroy All Humans feel like a relic that would have benefited more from a full-on modern reimagining rather than a remake that’s faithful to a fault....

Getting to see the details of Bushmaster’s childhood was, for me, a real high point. You can totally understand how a childhood of being humiliated and brutalised by the Stokes family might have turned him into the violent but righteous man he is today, and since he’s a far better villain than Diamondback was I’m glad to see him going the distance....

2K Games and Firaxis Games revealed another trailer for the turn-based tactical game Marvel’s Midnight Suns, dedicated to one of its playable superheroes. This time around we get the introduction of the daywalker himself, Blade. Like all introduction trailers, the video is quite brief, and we get to take a look at Blade’s powers in passing without many details. Given the pattern of previous videos, we can expect a much more extensive video explaining Blade’s card deck and battlefield role in detail on top of another on the history behind the hero herself across the next few days....

There’s a huge patch coming to Valorant in the near future, and while it isn’t bringing any new content in the form of maps or Agents, it’s set to overhaul Agent utility in very consequential ways. The news comes by way of the Valorant Public Beta Environment (PBE) server, which has been updated with a whole host of changes that are set to be trialed over the coming weeks. Metro 2033, released by THQ back in March, is finally getting some additional content.
