The family-friendly space drama has been a draw for audiences as a worthy successor to the 1960s original with its grand sense of adventure with the Robinson family at its core. Man of Medan is the newest horror title from Until Dawn developer Supermassive Games and one of the year’s most terrifying gaming experiences. Starting today, all owners of the game, or those who purchase the game before January 6, will have access to a complimentary Friend’s Pass. With the pass, players can experience Man of Medan with a friend who doesn’t own the game through its Shared Story multiplayer. Note that each account only has access to one playthrough with one friend, so don’t go wasting it....

Marvel’s Avengers will also include exclusive content for people with either Virgin or Verizon mobile network contracts (via VGC). As well as PlayStation players, customers who are with Virgin Media and Verizon Up will be able to unlock cosmetics for the heroes. Square Enix has also announced a set of costumes in collaboration with Intel, and people who purchase promotional packs of 5 Gum will get a special emote. Capcom has released a new trailer for upcoming expansion Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, revealing a new monster in the form of Glaveenus as well as offering some more details on the additions the expansion brings to the game in a developer update. First off, the Gathering Hub will see some improvements in the expansion, as you’ll now have quick access to the other important facilities without having to back out into the larger home hub area to visit the Smithy, Resource Center, Botanical Research Center, and Argosy....

Today Microsoft and third-party developers had a couple of relevant reveals to share about Microsoft Flight Simulator and an upcoming add-on. First of all, Microsoft launched a new beta patch for the simulator, numbered 1.29.29.0. In the ever so frivolous world of Apple rumors, the most recent hails from Bloomberg stating that Apple is said to be working on a smaller, cheaper iPhone. The idea is that Apple is creating a new mobile handset to compete with other phones of similar stature in the market. Devil’s Third’s creator Tomonobu Itagaki still believes the upcoming action-shooter will be a “breakthrough for the industry” that will “take shooters to the next level”, despite the game being heavily criticised in a recent wave of previews. A class action lawsuit accusing Sony Computer Entertainment America of deceptively marketing Killzone: Shadow Fall’s resolution has been dismissed, Courthouse News reports. The lawsuit, which was filed by US resident Douglas Ladore last year, was allegedly settled yesterday, although the terms of the settlement have not been publicly disclosed. Both parties must pay their own costs. Ladore’s initial lawsuit took issue with Sony advertising the game as featuring native 1080p graphics, when in fact the multiplayer used a technique called temporal reprojection to “reconstruct a full 1080p image”....

Animated feature film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy 15 will launch worldwide via digital platforms on August 30, Square Enix and Sony Home Pictures have announced. A Blu-ray release has been confirmed for October 4 in the US, with selected US cinemas also showing the film from August 19. Kingsglaive will feature Sean Bean as King Regis, Lena Headey as Princess Luna and Aaron Paul as Kingsglaive soldier Nyx. Check out the brand new trailer below....
