With the Grifta, they took the conventional controller design, made removable parts, and switched around layouts for easier access. Episode three of The Last of Us is remarkable. Remarkable because, despite giving us a look at moments that aren’t actually in the game, it still manages to capture the tone and feel of it all perfectly. It embellishes on the show’s theme of love in a world that is crumbling. In all honesty, it took my breath away. That’s not to say that episode three won’t be controversial. While it does expand on the series’ story in its own way, there are elements from the game that those who have played will likely miss, and I’m confident there will be plenty of discourse on this episode....

The Life is Strange series will not return to its original episodic model, developer Deck Nine has suggested. Lindsay Lohan’s lawsuit against Take-Two and Rockstar Games in relation to the alleged unauthorised use of her “persona and image” in GTA 5 has not been dismissed as many onlookers believed would happen, The Hollywood Reporter writes. Lords of the Fallen’s Ancient Labyrinth DLC has been “postponed” until the release of the game’s next patch. The delay means that the DLC will “probably” arrive later this month, City Interactive says, having been previously due in January. “As you know, we were supposed to release Ancient Labyrinth in January along with the patch,” said a tweet posted by the official Lords of the Fallen account. “We don’t want to release the DLC without fixes....

I love a good horror story. What I don’t love is a horror story that isn’t the least bit scary to the point that it technically isn’t even horror. Maid of Sker tries to build dread and scares with a fantastic presentation and strong map design. However, it’s hamstrung by an extremely lame, toothless premise and awful stealth “gameplay.” This is one hotel that you’ll be very glad to check out of any time you like, although the bitter aftertaste may never leave....
