That said, WotC suggests that it has identified a handful of cards that may be having an overall negative impact on MTGA’s Historic format, and the company has decided to take action in a somewhat orthodox fashion....

Industry analyst Dr Serkan Toto has claimed that a new Mario Kart is in development for the Nintendo Switch. Toto works for consultancy agency Kantan Games in Tokyo, Japan. He was speaking to GamesIndustry.biz on his predictions for the year 2022, including a new entry in Nintendo’s racing series. “I am aware Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still selling very well on the Nintendo Switch, but Mario Kart 9 is in active development (and comes with a new twist) and Nintendo could tease it this year....

With the epic Sci-Fi RPG Mass Effect 2 only a little less than two months from release, Bioware has released new media to hype what could be one of the best titles for the Xbox 360 and PC in 2010. In the first video, Lead Gameplay Designer Christina Norman describes how the biotic powers of the Adept character class have been improved in the sequel. One major change is that Adepts may now use their powers around corners to attack enemies....

Mass Effect Legendary Edition contains the entire Mass Effect trilogy fully remastered with visual enhancements, technical improvements, and gameplay adjustments. “The upgrades are vast and far-reaching in the remaster. Shadow quality is boosted, geometry tweaked, and we have improved anti-aliasing to support the 4K picture on Series X, S and PS5,” wrote Thomas Morgan in Digital Foundry’s analysis of the collection. Leading up to Prime Day, a bunch of indie titles will be available to download from 21st June, including Death Squared, Fatal Fury Special, Rain World and Samurai Shodown 2....

A recent controversy has risen out of a Dota 2 match between Team Avengerls and Team Newbee during the StarLadder ImbaTV Minor qualifiers in China. A seemingly unfathomable comeback has drawn the skepticism of the Dota community, especially the keen eye of veteran stream Zhang “xiao8” Ning, who is beyond certain that there was foul play based off of his experience as a player and coach. MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is fast approaching. It’s going to be the first single-player MechWarrior game in almost 20 years. That’s far too long. In anticipation of the release, Piranha Games released a gameplay trailer today showing off the upcoming game. The video begins with a Shadow Hawk Mech stomping through and destroying an objective during a mission before it is picked up by a dropship and returns to orbit, after which the trailer goes on to explain Mech customization and the star map....

In a surprise announcement, Asobo and Microsoft have announced a new version of Microsoft Flight Simulator — the Game of the Year Edition. Following its 1-year anniversary, the new GOTY edition has been created as a “celebration” of the journey up to this point, according to the development team. This new release of the game will feature a lot of goodies for fans. First off, it will include five brand-new aircraft, including Asobo’s first official helicopter-like vessel: the VoloCity....

Today third-party developers shared news and a release about Microsoft Flight Simulator aircraft and scenery addons. We get new screenshots of the Honda Jet by Marwan Gharib posted on FlightFX’s discord server. The publisher mentioned that the creator is polishing the aircraft, a release date has already been decided, and will be announced soon. We already know it’ll cost $24.99. We also get new screenshots from AzurPoly, which showcased its upcoming French trainer Socata TB-30 Epsilon in the “Cartouche Doré” aerobatic team livery....

Today third-party developers revealed releases and news about their upcoming add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator. We start with a couple of impending releases. The M-346 Master by IndiaFoxtEcho is finally ready to release and will come in “a few hours.” The same goes for the highly-anticipated Los Angeles International Airport (KLAX) by iniBuilds, which will release tomorrow (October 3). This was announced on the developer’s official Discord server. Next, we move on to an actual release that happened today, and it’s M’M Simulations’ Prishtina International Airport Adem Jashari (BKPR), serving the capital of Kosovo....

Modern Warfare 2’s 3rd person mode will be different in the final game to what gamers experienced in the beta. Activision confirmed on Twitter that only scopes over 4X will activate ADS – which means those with iron sights and other less ‘,zoomable’ options, will have to aim and shoot in 3rd person mode. This will certainly help gameplay, as the beta allowed ADS with all weapons, which took away from the 3rd-person experience....

Intellivision made a Gamescom announcement of its own, reminding us that its upcoming Amico is still a thing. Intellivision CEO Tommy Tallarico spoke about the family-friendly device, and how he wants it to bring people of all ages and skill levels together. Bandai Namco Games is sprucing up its oddball classic Katamari Damacy for Nintendo Switch and PC. Due out on December 7, Katamari Damacy Reroll includes a number of enhancements as you’d expect, including improved graphics and cutscenes. The Switch version of the cult roll-’em-up also features support for HD Rumble and motion controls, with the Joy-Con used to control your character in tabletop/TV mode.
