League of Legends champion Lux has received her own comic book as part of a venture borne out of a collaboration between Riot Games and Marvel. Despite being the center of unwanted attention, given its current misconduct scandal, Riot is keen on expanding, and Lux is now the focal point of a fresh line of comics. Riot announced a partnership with the Marvel franchise towards the end of 2018, citing similarities between the League of Legends and Marvel Universes....

LEGO and Nintendo have shared more about that mysterious project they recently teased, and it’s not exactly what many people were guessing it would be. Yes, LEGO and Nintendo are teaming up to make LEGO Super Mario as some fans had previously guessed. However, this project is neither a video game or a LEGO set. It’s actually both…and neither. It starts with a new Mario figure that LEGO will release. This Mario figure comes equipped with a built-in screen and speakers....

Today, during the Nintendo Direct Mini broadcasted by the house of Mario and Zelda, Cygames revealed Little Noah: Scion of Paradise. The game is for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and it’s one of these cases in which the reveal matches the release. It’s already available for all three platforms. The game is a roguelite action game available exclusively in digital form and priced at a rather affordable $14.99. Yet, DLCs are also coming, crossing over with Cygames’ popular franchise Princess Connect!...

Nintendo’s mysterious cancelled Kirby GameCube platformer has been spotted in a (very brief) snippet of new gameplay footage. The video, posted to YouTube by Foulowe59, shows a montage of gameplay footage apparently filmed on Nintendo’s showfloor booth at E3 2005. It was there that the game was shown off in a demo reel, as part of various upcoming GameCube and Nintendo DS titles. Alas, as we now know, this Kirby never made it much further....

Note: The game refers to Dicey as Even’s “dice.” Yes, we know it’s “die.” Lost in Random has a bunch of sidequests for players to take on. While you won’t see any of these in Onecroft, they pop up for real in Two-town, where you can find several. The game’s sidequests reward players with cards and currency (which is exclusively used to buy cards.) One of the very first sidequests you’ll come across requires you to locate and deliver three creatures called Bloobs....

Writers at Lovestruck, a publisher of visual romance novels for mobiles, are on strike owing to poor working practices (via Polygon). These contracted writers, of which twenty-one of them are on strike right now, have banded together to become a collective called Voltage Organized Workers. They claim that they have suffered under the management of Voltage Entertainment USA, the owner of Lovestruck. “Not only are we paid less than half the industry standard rate, we are asked to meet extremely tight deadlines and produce enormous amounts of content without protections or benefits,” said the collective in a statement....

Lucifer Season 5 is coming soon to Netflix! Moreover, while said fifth season of Lucifer was touted as the show’s last hurrah, that is no longer the case, with Netflix’s order for Season 6, which is now planned as said last hurrah. Thus, fans will get to enjoy the two-part release of Season 5 without the bittersweet aftertaste. So give yourselves a pat on the back if you joined in with the #SaveLucifer campaign – you have earned it… yet again!...

Magic: The Gathering Arena is going to get a big shakeup very soon as next month Standard will rotate. A large number of meta defining cards will move out of standard and a new status quo will begin to take shape. In fact, the game only recently just saw a surprise ban, despite these cards rotating so soon. Such is the nature of card games, but Arena is getting something exciting to make up for it in the meantime....

Magic: The Gathering’s current set, Throne of Eldraine, has been incredibly popular and a few high-powered cards are already causing quite a stir. Wizards of the Coast recently decided that Field of the Dead decks were getting out of control and jumped in with the ban hammer, but that just opens up the playing field for another one of the set’s powerful cards. With Field of the Dead officially out of the way, the era of Oko, Thief of Crowns is about to begin....

As a writer in the media, I travel to a lot of events and as a gamer, I have a lot of stuff I like to bring. I need to bring my gaming laptop, of course, but also my tablet, Switch, wireless mouse, headphones, my Scuf controller, all the chargers, and maybe a couple of changes of clothes if there’s any room left. Currently, I have two backpacks: A SWISSGEAR bag I use for weekend trips and when I just want to get out of the house and write somewhere else, and an Osprey Travel bag for long trips....

Insomniac has confirmed Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the eagerly awaited sequel to 2018’s acclaimed open-world swing-em-up - will arrive on PS5 next “fall”. That’s not, admittedly, anywhere close to being an actual launch date, but at least fans can now update their diaries and keep their anticipation in check. And the not particularly specific announcement may have something to do with the fact the “fall 2023” release was leaked earlier this week after a writer on the project added the date (since removed) to their online CV....

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 plans on pitting rage quitters against other rage quitters. A lot of the longevity in fighting games comes in the form of multiplayer gaming, and a lot of multiplayer gaming comes via online play. Matching making is great when it works, pitting equally skilled players against each other. It is extremely annoying to be in a battle and have the other player rage quit, meaning that they disconnect from the internet when they think the fight is lost for them....

Marvel vs. Capcom 4 will be revealed at Sony’s PlayStation Experience event this weekend, reports Polygon, collaborated by Eurogamer. The game is said to be launching next year. Polygon sources state the popular fighting game series will return without its iconic X-Men characters, instead tapping into the ever-expanding Marvel cinematic universe. This means you won’t see Sentinel, Magneto or Cyclops, but will likely find the likes of Groot, Dr Strange and Thor, amongst many others....

There was a nice surprise last week when during PSX Sony announced that it intends to give PS1 adventure MediEvil the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy treatment in the form of a remaster. However, two people who were also in the dark about it until the announcement happened to be Sir Daniel Fortesque’s original creator Chris Sorrell and MediEvil’s original lead designer Jason Wilson. Speaking in an interview with Push Square, Sorrell – who was also responsible for creating James Pond – said the news came ‘out of the blue’ and said that ‘I wouldn’t have expected them to do this after so long and I certainly have a lot of questions!...

UPDATE 14/2/22: The Metal Gear Slug: Awakening Twitter account which detailed the below PS4 and PS5 news was a fake, publisher SNK has now said. The news had been announced by an “unauthorised” Twitter account and widely-shared. “Please be careful what you read online,” SNK wrote today. ORIGINAL STORY 13/2/22: Metal Slug: Awakening is on the way to PlayStation consoles. Revealed via a cap locks-heavy tweet posted earlier today, there are no further details on when the game - previously known only as Metal Slug: J and originally only slated to come to mobile devices - will release, but we’re invited to “stay tuned for details, dear commanders”....

The character has become a beloved part of the fandom and actor Joseph Quinn has become a breakout star for his role. During the show, Eddie delivers an excellent performance where his character fights off flesh-eating bats with the power of metal. Nintendo of America has confirmed via Twitter that the forthcoming Metroid: Samus Returns is getting a special edition Nintendo New 3DS XL. Aptly named the Samus Edition Nintendo 3DS XL, this will be released on September 15 alongside the game. No word on whether we will see this in Europe. Now we just have to play the waiting game and see if it’s also released in Europe, following the instantaneous sell out of the Metroid: Samus Returns Legacy Edition....

Monster Hunter Stories 2 has different Monstie’s which are kinds of pets you can hatch out from monster eggs. First thing to do is find the Monster, defeat him, and then you can steal their eggs. Hatching the right egg will give you powerful Monstie’s early in the game. You can ride them, use them in the battle, use their abilities to find treasures, etc. Monoblos is among the powerful monsters in MH Stories 2....
