In a turn up for the books, all characters in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will have voices, something Ubisoft had previously said could not happen. Creative director Davide Soliani was initially told Rabbids were not to speak by Ubisoft. However, thanks to some creative manipulation of the rules and a successful bid by Soliani to “gain trust” from Ubisoft, Mario and his Rabbid companions will now talk during their upcoming escapades (thanks, IGN)....

Ha, I knew it. After the Estel reveal trailer teased a square-faced silhouette, I had a strong inclination that it belonged to none other than the body-slamming wrestler himself, Max Thunder. Microsoft has confirmed that the July update for Xbox One has started rolling out for users today, bringing with it a host of new features for the console. The update is mostly concerned with making it easier for users to find content, as well as improving Mixer. First up, the newly-announced FastStart has been activated for select titles. Xbox Game Studios and Asobo Studio have announced that Japan will be the focus of the first World Update free for all players of Microsoft Flight Simulator when it drops next week. The additions will include an “upgraded digital elevation map” across the whole of Japan as well as high-res 3D photogrammetry for the cities of Sendai, Takamatsu, Tokushima, Tokyo, Utsunomiya and Yokohama. There’ll also be six “handcrafted” new local airports added, consisting of Hachijojima, Kerama, Kushiro, Nagasaki, Shimojishima, and Suwanosejima....

The developer of the WW1 Game Series has announced its next title in the series. Rumbleverse - the free-to-play “brawler royale” from developer Iron Galaxy Studios - has, following a bit of a delay, been given a new release date, and is launching for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC (via the Epic Games Store) on 18th August. Iron Galaxy Studios, which is perhaps best known as the developer behind the 2013 version of Killer Instinct, announced Rumbleverse during last year’s Game Awards, describing the 40-person, melee-focused battle royale game as “big, hilarious playground where spectacular things are always happening”....

Killer Klowns from Outer Space is a deliciously cheesy and campy ’80s horror-comedy, with lovably vicious clowns (sorry, klowns) and some great humor through sight gags and other hilarious visuals. So it’s great to see Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game with a seat at the video game adaptation table. With the folks at Friday the 13th: The Game spearheading this effort, it’s not surprising to see how faithful and joyful this adaptation of Killer Klowns looks so far, which was highlighted in a recent dev post and film comparison trailer....

A sizeable demo for The King of Fighters XIV has been released on PS4, offering players access to seven characters and a range of game modes. Originally appearing as a rather unassuming reference to a fake video game in Kingdom Hearts 3, Yozora seems to be taking center stage in the future of the series. Coming from Verum Rex, a sort of stand-in for Final Fantasy Versus 13, Yozora has broken into the lore of the game, even interacting with Sora and Riku. There are a number of hints that Yozora may be a fixture in the future of the series, mostly coming from how he has interacted with Sora and Riku as well as his likely dive into the Dream Realm from Dream Drop Distance....

It looks like an upcoming update to Kingdom Hearts 3 will give Sora three new forms. Not only that, but the third and latest form will give Sora his ability to dual-wield Keyblades again, just like in Kingdom Hearts 2. The concept of being able to wield two or more Keyblades simultaneously was one of the many features of Kingdom Hearts 2 that fans praised. Sora could either summon a second Keyblade through transforming or pick up another individual’s Keyblade(s) and wield it alongside his own....

Datacards in LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga have replaced the Red Bricks found in most other LEGO games.
