Cardboard Computer has announced the release date for the long-awaited conclusion to Kentucky Route Zero. Almost seven years after the release of Act I, and an interlude that we thought was going to be Act V, Kentucky Route Zero – The Final Act will be coming to PC on January 28. The first few acts of Kentucky Route Zero came out in quick succession. But after that, Cardboard Computer slowed things down and took its time with the development of the game’s story....
The final Killer Instinct Season 3 character will be Eyedol, an updated version of the boss character from the original 1994 game. Eyedol will be released July 22 for Ultra Edition owners, and a week later for Combo and Breaker Edition owners. Eyedol was mentioned in the recent player survey carried out on the game’s official website, which alluded to possible future characters such as Joanna Dark, a Crackdown Agent and Halo Brute....

The Halloween Horrors: Monster Masquerade update is now live and available for free to download. The themed event kicks off today and runs until November 11. Unfortunately, there are only four Microsoft Store locations in America: Scottsdale, AZ, Mission Viejo, CA, San Diego, CA, Lone Tree, CO. I’m jealous of those who are actually close to these locations and will get a chance to experience controller-free gaming and entertainment. I don’t know how much the demo units will cost Microsoft to place in stores, but I hope a demo makes its way to GameStop stores across the country....
Namco Bandai has announced Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series, a remastered collection of the first two Klonoa platforming games. The pack will contain both 1998 original PlayStation title Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and follow-up Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil. They see the titular hero in a side-scrolling adventure set in a land fuelled by dreams. After an airship crashes into the local mountain, Klonoa sets out accompanied by a ring spirit named Huepow to investigate, and so begins their journey....
Kojima Productions has issued a statement to fans addressing its future with Sony, following yesterday’s confirmation that Hideo Kojima was now working on a project for Xbox. Of course, Kojima most recently partnered with PlayStation for Death Stranding - and fans of that game are now expecting a Death Stranding sequel, thanks to the loose lips of actor and star Norman Reedus. Kojima’s partnership with Sony was a major coup for PlayStation, and was announced with glee by its then-head Andy House....

Following last week’s big Elden Ring patch, which added the likes of NPC quest markers and expanded NPC quests, FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco have released a smaller update tackling a range of issues on all platforms - which, most importantly for PC players, includes a fix to stop hackers from ruining others’ saves. The remedy in question is referenced toward the bottom of the patch notes accompanying today’s 1.03.2 release for Elden Ring, explaining the update has “fixed a bug in multiplayer that allowed players to teleport others to incorrect map coordinates”....

Bad news for Kid Flash fans. Keiynan Lonsdale’s Wally West kind of had a weird season, didn’t he? Quickly sidelined in during the difficult fourth season of The Flash, fans were relieved to see him return as a member of the Waverider crew during the back end of Legends of Tomorrow season three. I often had the impression that Wally had to hold back, because a speedster on that team kind of breaks things a little more than they’re already broken, but it was fun seeing Wally’s joyful earnestness interact with the often prickly Legends team....

Manifest Season 1 Episode 6 Kudos to Manifest for taking its government conspiracy story arc, which has unfolded with admirable subtlety thus far, and giving it a good twist. Although there technically wasn’t a resolution in this episode, the continuing danger for Cal actually helps correct the show’s propensity for allowing the callings to provide solutions that left some victories feeling unearned earlier in the season....
