The western and Japanese arms of Nintendo released new trailers of the upcoming fantasy soccer game Mario Strikers: Battle League. The first from Nintendo of America simply shows a “strike of the week.” The second from the Japanese arm of Nintendo is a much more extensive video showing equipment customization and plenty of gameplay focusing on the importance of the Shooy and Technique stats. Mario Strikers: Battle League releases on June 10, exclusively for Nintendo Switch....

With different characters to make up your team, ensuring that you have things covered defensively and offensively is key. Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Stephen Strange, a surgeon who loses the use of his hands, but discovers magic could be the answer to his disability. Tilda Swinton is featured in the trailer as Tibetan mystic the Ancient One, who trains pupils in the art of magic....

Square Enix has released a pair of new videos for the upcoming Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy introducing one of the game’s villains, Lady Hellbender. In the game, the gang will meet up with Lady Hellbender as Star Lord and the Guardians plan an elaborate heist. The first step is to convince the monster hunter to buy either Groot or Rocket depending on the player’s choice, with the intention of breaking them out later....

Brand new game Where Winds Meet was announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live. The game is from developer Everstone Games and is an open world action RPG set in the Ten Kingdoms period of medieval China. The game was revealed with a stunning looking trailer that showed off its lush setting of bamboo forests, snow covered mountains, and other surreal areas. Here’s some background on that setting: “It takes place during the twilight of the Ten Kingdoms, the very era when an entire dynasty could crumble in a blink of an eye....

In a slightly unexpected move, Konami has today updated 2015’s superb Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain with a new patch to take advantage of the PS4 Pro. As per the Metal Gear Official Twitter account, the patch promises a ‘more stable framerate’ and allows you to play the game at a higher resolution, presuming you have a PS4 Pro and a 4K screen. The announcement also states that you’ll see improved performance even with a standard 1080p screen, and those with the Definitive Edition of the game will also see improvements to the performance of Ground Zeroes....

Monster Hunter Rise is an action RPG that tasks players with challenging missions and quests. FromSoftware, much loved studio behind the Dark Souls series and Bloodbourne, has teamed up with Activision to release a brand new title, the Microsoft E3 showcase has revealed. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be coming in 2019, and looks to be a third person action game with RPG elements. There’s also director Miyazaki’s customary fascination with death, of course. The main character appears to be a wandering samurai, and has a prosthetic arm made of bone that previously featured in a teaser image some time ago....

Whenever a player has something new available to them in Call of Duty Modern Warfare’s multiplayer menu, the game lets them know by placing a green dot by whatever it is. These dots appear by new items that a player has earned (such as a Calling Card), new game modes they haven’t played yet, like, Gunfight 3v3 - Snipers Only, or a newly available playlist, like, “I Have Rust Issues.” Whenever the player selects whatever the green dot is hovering besides, the dot disappears – at least, that’s what supposed to happen....

Intel has announced that it’s lowering the price of its Arc A750 graphics card to just $249 MSRP. In addition, the company has released new Arc A750 drivers that promise significant performance improvements for gamers. Called the “Q1’23 Arc Update” — catchy name, we know — Intel’s latest driver update promises up to 43% performance gains on DirectX 9 games. In a briefing ahead of their release, Intel went through just how big of a difference the new 4086 drivers are in comparison to what the 3490 drivers were at launch last fall....

Hitman 2’s post launch content continues apace, with IO Interactive revealing the wealth of new stuff coming to Agent 47’s latest adventure over the course of the next month. The highlight is the next piece of Expansion Pass content, a new Sniper Challenge map called The Prison set in snowy Siberia. That’ll land on July 30 and completion will net you a cool Druzhina 34 ICA Arctic sniper rifle to use elsewhere in the game....
