Dodgeball arena game Knockout City‘s second season has been revealed by EA, with Fight at the Movies kicking off on July 22. The new season was announced during last night’s EA Play Live and is, as the title suggests, based around the theme of cinema. It’s headlined by a new map called the Holowood Drive-In which changes between various movie genres. One minute you’ll be dodging balls across a rose-petal strewn bridge, another sees you traversing rooftops in a gothic horror....
Konami has warned players of a Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain bug which halts progression during certain missions. The publisher writes: “There is a possibility that the game stops progress if having Quiet as a buddy while playing “Mission 29” or “Mission 42″.” PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms are all affected by the bug. There isn’t currently a fix, but the issue can be avoided by not utilising Quiet as a buddy on either Mission 29 or 42....
Many CoD fans were disappointed when Season 5 initially dropped due to the lack of notable weapon rebalancing. However, following from the semi-auto weapons rework Infinity Ward is now looking to fix the Modern Warfare and Warzone LMGs. More specifically, the developer is finally addressing the dominance of the Bruen Mk-9 while giving some of the lesser-used LMGs some much-needed love. A new trailer for Shadow Warrior 3 is here, and it sure is bloody. Devolver Digital offered fans a glimpse at one of the upcoming first-person shooter’s levels, called “Doomsday Device.” The level looks epic, but there’s a lot to unpack here — like enemies emerging from each other’s fat rolls. Doomsday Device is just one of many levels to arrive with Shadow Warrior 3 later this year. The Shadow Warrior 3 level trailer showed the player entering a clifftop arena with guns at the ready....

Riot Games today revealed that it plans to get Legends of Runeterra available to as many people as possible very soon. Square Enix has dropped a couple of new videos for the upcoming Life is Strange Remastered Collection. The first of the two videos shows the very first five minutes of the original 2015 outing. We get to relieve that fateful opening bathroom scene, with the new enhancements coming in the new collection. The BBC has announced that it’s inked a deal with the London-based esports firm and tournament organiser, Gfinity, which will see the first ever broadcast of esports on a major UK network. BBC Three will host coverage of Gfinity’s newly launched Elite Series which will air live on the online-only BBC3 from today, with six more weeks of broadcasts every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Gfinity Elite League pits 160 professional gamers against one another, competing for a prize pool of £225,000....

Piranha Games is ready to show more of MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries today in a new video which looks at the game’s various Biomes. Rocky industrial planets, desert landscapes, and lush forest planets are all on show in this new footage which also includes some more gameplay action. Meta, formerly Facebook, has announced a major set of pricing changes to its Meta Quest 2 VR headsets, starting in August. Both the 128GB and 256GB versions of the headset will rise in price by $100, Meta said in a statement last night, from $300 to $400, and from $400 to $500, respectively. These are serious price increases - for the 128GB model, it represents a rise of 33 percent! - for hardware generally considered a good entry-level VR device....
