Castlevania’s 35th anniversary will be marked by the launch of the “Konami Memorial NFT Collection”, which is exactly as it sounds. Artwork, video clips and music tracks will be hawked as NFTs on the OpenSea auction site next week, from 12th January, using the controversial Ethereum currency. These digital items include new pixel art and familiar music tracks, plus odd “highlight movie” clips from the series. Each also includes “unlockable content” which “can only be unlocked and revealed by the owner” of the NFT....

In preparation for next week’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, Square Enix has just released a new, and unfortunately fully CGI, trailer for their upcoming reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise. Featuring a younger and much more stripped down version of Croft, this trailer takes the world adventurer to some new places while still feeling somewhat familiar. Language learning company Rosetta Stone has launched a new Xbox One app designed to teach console users how to speak English and Spanish. The ‘Rosetta Stone Discover Languages’ app promises to teach English and Spanish “by way of immersive simulation”, taking players to a variety of locations where they’re able to chat to characters, unlock achievements and perfect their score. “Playing video games is great cognitive exercise; it helps improve your focus, memory, and ability to multitask,” Rosetta Stone wrote on its website....
