It took nearly two years, but crafting and professions have finally arrived in Lineage 2: Revolution. The game’s latest update gives players the ability to create their own items from scratch while also introducing a few Halloween inspired in-game events. Five professions are available to choose from and will be immediately recognizable to anyone who has spent time playing an MMORPG over the last decade. Professions include Smithing, Cooking, Enchanting, Alchemy, and Gemcrafting....

In 2007, astronaut and U.S. Navy Capt. Lisa Nowak was arrested in Florida. She was charged with attempting to kidnap an Air Force captain due to an apparent love triangle involving another astronaut. She became an instant media sensation due to these sordid details eclipsed the fact that just seven months earlier she flew on the Space Shuttle Discovery and operated robotic arms on the International Space Station. Apparently false claims of her wearing an astronaut garment designed for space travel in order to reach her destination without stopping for even a bathroom break led to her being dubbed “the diaper astronaut” on late night talk shows....

Physics-based comedy adventure Manual Samuel will launch October 11 on PS4 and October 14 on Xbox One and PC, publisher Curve Digital has announced. In Manual Samuel players must take control of the recently deceased Samuel, who after a meeting with Death himself is given a deal: live for 24 hours manually, or have his soul tortured in hell for all eternity. In these 24 hours Samuel must breathe in, breathe out, move left leg, right leg, blink, work, kiss, and even go to the toilet....

Prior to today, it was confirmed that Crystal Dynamics’ Marvel’s Avengers would feature Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and Black Widow, with Ant-Man appearing as DLC. The director of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is leading development on Platinum Games’ Transformers: Devastation. In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Kenji Saito provided more details on the game. “Within the world of this long-running series with countless fans, we wanted to make an exhilarating action experience that focused uniquely on what draws so many people to Transformers: robots and vehicles,” he said. “The key is action that combines these two concepts, allowing players to freely switch modes whenever needed, racing around the city in vehicle mode and pounding on the enemy in robot mode....

A new Metroid Prime game is on the way! Confirmed at E3 2017, Metroid Prime 4 is a new entry in the classic series of Metroid games for the GameCube and Wii, and it’s being developed by Retro Studios. But Metroid‘s legacy goes far beyond the Prime series. More than thirty years ago, players thought the badass character they were playing as was a man, only to have Samus Aran surprise everyone when she took the helmet off, a major moment in gaming history that paved the way for more female protagonists in the ’90s and ’00s....

Remaking old games in HD seems to be the new trend in the video game industry. Sony does it, Ubisoft does it, but apparently Microsoft does not want to do it. God of War, Shadow of the Colossus, Sly Cooper, and Ico are all very successful franchises that have seen or will be receiving re-releases from Sony. Ubisoft is putting a new coat of paint on the under looked Beyond Good and Evil for a release next year, and if the rumors prove to be true, we could be getting some high-res Prince of Persia as well… eventually....

Microsoft follows in Sony’s footsteps by using uncredited artwork as clear inspiration for their recent Xbox commercial. The video in question is Microsoft’s launch video for the new Xbox Series X. Original Splinter Cell voice actor Michael Ironside is rumoured to have returned to star as Sam Fisher in an as yet announced new entry in Ubisoft’s stealth action series. Ironside was replace by Eric Johnson in 2013’s Blacklist, having voiced the leading man since the franchise’s inception back in 2002. The rumour comes via “reliable contacts” of a NeoGAF user who claims to have had accurate info about Ubisoft projects in the past....

A Zoom meeting with the Italian senate was hacked with Final Fantasy pornography. “Zoombombing” has become a thing as important meetings are conducted online during the pandemic, including those by the Italian senate. This particular meeting included Nobel Prize for physics winner Giorgio Parisi among its participants, and was a seminar entitled “Towards A Transparent Civil Service”. All went well until a user by the name Alex Spence entered the chat and, on a screen share, displayed CGI pornography of Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy 7....
