The hardest thing about critically assessing Kathy Rain: Director’s Cut is that, while the game is noticeably different from its original release, it’s not that different in regards to content. The game isn’t free to owners of the original, and it’s so technologically different that it likely couldn’t have been updated without being replaced outright. The game runs on a brand new engine and has a small number of significant differences that make it much easier to play than its previous incarnation....

Kingdom Hearts 4 was officially announced as part of the series’ 20th Anniversary event. We also caught a glimpse at another game titled Kingdom Hearts Missing Link. Both of these titles came with trailers, but unsurprisingly, Kingdom Hearts 4 has taken most of the attention. And its trailer showed off something that has fans very excited after what seems like a potential tease. There’s a small chance that we could see a Star Wars world in Kingdom Hearts 4....

Developer Kaiko has offered fans a fresh look at the upcoming Fatesworn DLC for Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning. The DLC, which was announced in September of last year, is apparently reaching the “final stages of production.” In the meantime, the studio has revealed a screenshot and the first details around Gale’s Crossing. It’s a place described as an “integral stop” on the bustling trade route known as the Sativa Road. Said road was apparently a treacherous passage that brought prosperity to the region....

Hideo Kojima, video games auteur and Geoff Keighley’s best friend, has tweeted to confirm that his new game, Death Stranding, will not be at E3 this year. Kojima, famous for creating the Metal Gear series, says that the team are fully focused on development. He will, however, be appearing at Geoff Keighley’s E3 Coliseum on Wednesday 14 June at 3.15 pm PST, which is 11.15 pm BST. â€‹ Apologies to our fans, Death Stranding will not be @ E3 as we are fully focused on development....

Metal Gear Solid maker Hideo Kojima has said his development studio will remain independent - despite numerous offers from interested parties. The past year has seen a flurry of mergers and acquisitions within the video game industry, with Microsoft following up its Bethesda purchase by launching its attempt to buy Activision Blizzard, while Sony has gobbled up Bungie and Take-Two has taken on Zynga. Don’t expect the Death Stranding developer to follow suit, however - even as Kojima looks to be building new games for both Microsoft and Sony....

With Gamescom currently underway, several studios have been sharing new info about their upcoming projects. That includes the folks over at GIANTS Software, the team behind Farming Simulator 19. A new gameplay trailer was dropped at the event, and now a new manufacturer has also been revealed to be providing machinery for the game: Komatsu Forest. GIANTS was proud to announce this partnership between with Komatsu Forest, as it happens to be “one of the world’s largest manufacturers of forest machines”....

Lady Gaga is one of the most successful pop music stars of the last 10 years, and she has also found great success in acting as well, having starred in the 2018 hit film A Star is Born. Lady Gaga has also had a connection to the video game industry, with her tracks appearing in everything from Dance Central to Farmville. Despite this, the popular singer doesn’t appear to know what Fortnite is - or at least that’s what she’s claimed on Twitter....

Bandai Namco has released another trailer for Code Vein, this time showing off one of the weapons you’ll get to wield in the vampire-themed Souls-like. The Great Sword is a two handed weapon, meaning it’s bit heavier to weild than other weapons, but makes up for its lack of speed by doing a lot more damage. It can even deal with multiple foes in one swing. Code Vein is finally set for release on September 27 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC....

Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition is a good game. However, much of the enjoyment PC owners would have had with its port were marred by some technical problems. Framerate drops, disappearing on-screen text, and incorrect prompts for mouse and keyboard users were among the issues. Developer Team Ninja issued a patch in early March to address the many concerns players had. However, the update only seemed to make things worse....

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has been immortalised in block form as part of a Minecraft Education challenge to redesign Croydon. The 2023 Design Future London Schools Challenge is a partnership between City Hall, Microsoft’s Minecraft Education, and C40 Cities, and invites students to redesign Croydon town centre as a “greener, safer, and more prosperous place for everyone”. Khan features in the game as a non-player character to introduce the challenge....

Marvel’s Iron Man VR has been delayed from February 28, 2020 to May 15, 2020, as announced by developer Camouflaj (via GameSpot). Marvel’s Iron Man VR will now release for PlayStation VR on May 15, 2020. A PlayStation VR exclusive, the game was first shown off during Sony’s State of Play 2019, and features an all-new design for the suit from comic book artist Adi Granov. He’s also the mind behind the Velocity Suit in Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man....

An industry insider has claimed that the rumoured Mass Effect remasters will be revealed and released in October. VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb has claimed that the “an additional EA HD title” among this cluster of titles will be a remaster of Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3. Furthermore, he asserted that the trilogy remaster will be revealed and released by Electronic Arts in just two months’ time. This is very enticing, indeed....

And she has no problem using any tool at her disposal, including the despised Galindo cartel. So Adelita is really Mitch McConnell, only for good?...

I never got to play MediEvil when I was a young lad with an original Playstation. Its focus on zombies, ghouls, and a general spooky atmosphere was a bit too much for me to handle, as I was what one might have called a “wuss.” Later, I discovered that the game was about as scary as the Beetlejuice cartoon, but by that point, I was already blowing up cars in Grand Theft Auto 3 and wasn’t about to go back to my dusty old PS1....

It was announced back in January this year, but now you can check out some gameplay of the next entry in the Micro Machines series (via Eurogamer). Micro Machines: World Series is bringing back the old favourite modes such as Elimination, as well as the all-new Battle Mode where 12 players can cause damage to each other online, or four players locally. The last Micro Machines was out in 2006 and didn’t cause the stir that previous entries did....

Imperiums: Greek Wars is an upcoming 4x grand strategy game developed by Kube Games and set in Classical Greece in 359 BC. It’s important to note that date – it’s the year that Phillip II, the father of Alexander the Great, became the king of Macedon. He sort of paved the way for Alexander’s conquests of Greece, Egypt, and Persia, so expect him to play a central role in the game....

Indivisible is a new action-RPG platformer that has finally released after about four years of waiting since its announcement in July of 2015. Developed by Lab Zero and published by 505 Games, this title is a departure from the normal fare of the fighting-game developer that made Skullgirls. While the game is currently available on PC and consoles, it seems like it will be most at home on the Switch. Luckily, a Switch version will be released in the foreseeable future....
