Loots is aiming to be the streaming platform of choice for the TikTok generation. If you wanna get into streaming, there are basically three choices. The first is Twitch, by far the largest by viewership. The second is Mixer, the new streaming platform from Microsoft that Ninja famously left for. And then there’s YouTube Gaming, the streaming platform that nobody seems to like due to YouTube’s monetization practices. And now there’s a fourth platform: Loots....

Take-Two Interactive stated that Mafia has been “completely remade from the ground up” for its Definitive Edition, which will come to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Last week, the publisher parent company revealed Mafia: Trilogy, though there were rumblings of remasters for the classic open-world games for quite some time. The first game, Mafia, released for PC in 2002 and then came to PlayStation 2 and Xbox in 2004. Screenshots of the remaster are nothing short of stunning in comparison to the original game, and developer Hangar 13 has put in the hard graft to make it so....

When I saw the marketing for Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, I couldn’t help but notice that they kept stressing the line, “Everybody Loves Marcel.” They even had it up on the screen at the screening that I attended. This made two questions immediately come to my mind: “Is Marcel truly as lovable as is being said?” and “Just because the main character is lovable, does that mean that the movie will be enjoyable no matter what?...

Nintendo has just launched Mario Kart Tour, the free to play Mario Kart mobile game, which is already causing a stir on social media, but for all the wrong reasons. According to Twitter, the title is trending, but this isn’t good news for Nintendo, as players are taking to the internet to complain about maintenance preventing play. As an international news team, we’ve discovered an interesting new dimension to this problem....

Marvel Entertainment released a new trailer for the upcoming free update coming next week to Marvel’s Avengers. The trailer focuses on the new playable character that will join the Avengers with the update, former Captain America’s sidekick James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes, also known as The Winter Soldier. There is a lot to see in the trailer, showcasing how Marvel’s ultimate anti-hero fights. Of course, he mixes up the power of his iconic bionic arm with firearms and knives, so he’s a powerful damage dealer capable to hold his own both in melee and at medium range....

There was a point in time during the course of my Marvel’s Midnight Suns playthrough, roughly 50 hours in, when I was reminded that a review was needed. But that’s not necessarily the reason why the review came out a week after launch. Rather, it’s because I’ve been enjoying my damn time with it. Made by Firaxis Games and published by 2K, Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a turn-based tactics game in the vein of XCOM, but it features superheroes and has you using cards in combat....

Every week, Second Dinner introduces a new location in Marvel Snap to help mix things up. This week, the new Featured Location is Machineworld, and the location effect is as follows: When you play a card here, add a copy to your opponent’s hand. Unlike Bar Sinister, which fills the entire location with the card you played there, this location is much less intrusive. However, it does create some interesting deck possibilities that revolve around your opponent’s hand size....

Via Gametrailers, Bioware has released new footage of the anticipated vehicle missions for Mass Effect 2. Scheduled tentatively for late March, the trailer shows the Hammerhead hovercraft in action. Now gamers will be able to strafe their enemies rather than constantly circling them. The combat also appears to be much more fluid than when gamers were forced to use the Mako, a heavily-armored, but awkward, moon buggy. Reportedly, there will be five new missions involving the Hammerhead....

Aside from the other 90s remake, new footage and a story trailer from third person adventure remake MediEvil was also featured on last night’s State of Play broadcast. The PlayStation 4 exclusive now has a release date of October 25 and as you can see from the trailer below, appears to be coming along nicely. In case you’re not familar with the original – you play as Sir Daniel Fortesque, a brave(ish) knight who gets a second chance at heroism after he’s ressurected by the machinations of the evil sorcerer Zarok, and most defeat him to restore order to the land of Gallowmere....

The Sopranos mythos returns to HBO next year with TV movie The Many Saints of Newark – a welcome offering on many levels, one of which is the heartwarming handoff of the late James Gandolfini’s role as Tony Soprano to his son, Michael Gandolfini, who plays a teenage version of Tony in the 1960s-set story. However, it seems that the acceptance of said role was made after some reluctance, not only because of the responsibility of filling Tony’s leather loafers, but because – up until this process – he’d never even seen the show....

Today third-party developers had a few interesting reveals and a release to share for Microsoft Flight Simulator add-ons. We start with Saviart, which released a short video showcasing Cuneo Levaldigi Airport (LIMZ) in Italy. This airport has been in a bit of a limbo for quite a while, as it has been sent to Microsoft for release in the official marketplace a long while ago, but it has not been released yet....

Even though the next generation of consoles are due to launch next year, it hasn’t stopped Microsoft or Sony from continuing to release new color variations for their current generation controllers. Sony is preparing to release four new colors for its DualShock 4 controller including the highly requested rose gold, while Microsoft also recently revealed a special midnight forces edition for the Xbox One. The company isn’t stopping there however as they’ve just announced a brand new limited edition design for its X019 event....

A free download of an interactive Star Wars scene created in Unreal Engine 4 has been released, making us all wish this was the early stages of a full game. The fan project is headed by Obsidian Entertainment’s senior environment artist Jason Lewis with the aid of 16 other people all working in their spare time. “In total there are 17 people contributing to this project in varying capacities. This is a just-for-fun personal project that we are all contributing to for no reason other than we are all a bunch of super Star Wars fans and with all the Star Wars awesomeness going on these days, we all thought it would be a good time to jump in and produce a quality fan art project,” explained Lewis....

Indie Taiwanese developer MatchB has been working on a horror title called Halflight and it now has a free demo on Steam. In Halflight, players follow in the steps of the young boy Xi-sheng as he strays into an “extraordinary phantom world where memories intertwine with nightmares” to save his family and his playmate and brother Mu-Sheng. As the game progresses, players will have to solve puzzles and find notes that help tell more of the backstory....

The first trailer for Jason Bourne, the next chapter in Universal’s Bourne franchise, is out and the film is looking pretty great. Matt Damon is back at Jason Bourne, with Bourne Supremacy and Bourne Ultimatum director Paul Greengrass also returning to the series. Damon is joined by Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones, while Julia Stiles reprises her role. Jason Bourne comes to cinemas July 27, 2016.

2022 may only have just begun, but there is already enough unfortunate news going around. The latest comes via GamesIndustry.biz, which reported that established UK developer Stewart Gilray, who founded the Just Add Water studio in 2006, has passed away due to COVID-19. He was 51. Just Add Water is perhaps most well known for transitioning the Oddworld series to the modern generation. The studio developed Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD for both PC and newer consoles, was responsible for the HD port of Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee, and also help co-develop the remake that was Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty....

Microsoft has confirmed the next batch of titles slated to appear on Xbox Game Pass, including Just Cause 4 and LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, which are available to download today. Next week will see Fallout 4 arriving on the service, although it won’t be the first time. The post-apocalyptic RPG was booted off Xbox Game Pass late last year, with Fallout 76 taking its place. F1 2018 is also on the cards for subscribers, and will be available on March 14 alongside Fallout 4....
