Fans of the Metal Gear Solid series will soon be able to experience the first game again in a new way, as it’s being developed into a board game by IDW Games. Metal Gear Solid: The Board Game will allow up to four players to choose from four different characters who all possess their own unique abilities which can be used to complete objectives in what is being called a sandbox board game....

Ion Fury is easily one of my favorite FPS games to come out in recent years. Unlike many similar games, it has a lengthy single-player campaign, so I wasn’t expecting an expansion. Surprisingly, the game will return this year with Aftershock, a new slab of content containing new levels and weapons for players to lob bowling bombs at. The expansion is set to launch on PC and consoles this summer, so it’s still a ways off....

EA Motive Studio founder Jade Raymond is leaving Electronic Arts, the publisher confirmed overnight. Raymond established the Montreal-based Motive Studio back in 2015 following a lengthy stint with Ubisoft, and assisted in production of Star Wars Battlefront II as well as the untitled Star Wars project previously in development at Visceral Games. As a result of her departure, EA Motive will now be helmed by Samantha Ryan, who also heads up the mobile branch of EA, as well as Maxis and BioWare studios....

Your first batch of Games with Gold being given away in 2018 have been announced by Microsoft as The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III and Zombi for the Xbox One and Tomb Raider Underworld and Army of Two from the Xbox 360. Avalanche Studios and Square Enix have announced new content coming at the end of this month for Just Cause 4. If there wasn’t already enough destruction in Rico’s universe, the new DLC promises that you will “Destroy. Drive. Survive.” when it launches on April 30. Koei Tecmo has announced Arslan: The Warriors of Legend, a cel-shaded tactical action game heading to PS4, Xbox One and digital PS3 in early 2016. Based on the novel The Heroic Legend of Arslan, the new game is said to blend the “fast paced tactical action gameplay” of Koei Tecmo’s Warriors franchise “with a stunningly engaging narrative”, as lead character Arslan fights to regain his right to the throne. Fortnite and its developers at Epic Games have teamed up with the International Red Cross, debuting a brand new game mode called “Liferun” at PAX South 2020. To kick off the new mode, Twitch streamers DrLupo, ONE_shot_gurl, and Lachlan participated in a friendly competition against each other – racing to help save lives rather than end them. The competition took place in PAX South’s Arena area, a section of the festival that featured a decent esports stage and quality streaming production....

Manifest Season 1 Episode 10 When a show takes a hiatus midseason, it’s helpful to come back with an additional hook, and Manifest’s focus on the Major, an important conspirator, in its first episode back serves that purpose well. Although Ben’s split with Grace didn’t give us quite the separation from the family drama for this second half of the season we might have hoped for, the kids’ angle at least gave things a more poignant perspective....

Is it enough that “Carry On” has all of the suspense and emotion that we’ve come to expect from the series even though the focus has shifted to new enemies without resolving the old? Mass Effect 2’s demo was officially released on the PS3 last week, but how does it hold up to the Xbox 360 version? Less than a month away from the official PS3 release, the comparisons have already begun. Game producer Jesse Houston commented on the Bioware Podcast, referring to the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2, that “One of the first things you’re going to see is improved graphics.” However, the side-by-side comparisons from Eurogamer show that this is not exactly the case....

Sony’s Shawn Layden has revealed on the PlayStation Blogcast that the upcoming PlayStation 4 version of Medievil will be a full remake, and is being developed by Other Ocean Interactive. The PlayStation chief confirmed that the remake is indeed based on the original PSOne Medievil title from 1998, and promised a new trailer for the game will drop on October 31. This ties in with what we previously heard, as Layden had teased more info would be coming soon....
