Two of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy‘s lead developers have been speaking on the upcoming superhero adventure, and revealed how you won’t just be battling your extra-terrestrial foes with your weapons, but you’ll also be managing the rag-tag group of superheroes too. Speaking in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, senior narrative director Mary DeMarle and senior gameplay director Patrick Fortier mentioned how Guardians’ single-player focus will greatly set it apart from publisher Square Enix’s previous superhero outing, Marvel’s Avengers, in that you’ll mainly be controlling just leader Peter Quill AKA Star Lord....

Lucy Bradshaw, the senior vice president of The Sims developer Maxis, is leaving EA, the company announced yesterday. Her departure comes as part of a major reshuffle for the studio, which will see it realigned with EA’s mobile division under executive Samantha Ryan. The Sims 4’s executive producer Rachel Franklin will take over leadership of Maxis following Bradshaw’s exit. The realignment doesn’t mean that Maxis will be moving away from PC development, however, an EA rep said in an update to Polygon....

Third-party developers shared news about Microsoft Flight Simulator add-ons focusing on upcoming aircraft, and airports. We start with Carenado, which provided new screenshots of its upcoming Piper PA-28-181 Archer II. At the moment, details about it are scarce, including the release window and pricing. Aerosoft announced another airport in Germany, Porta Westfalica (EDVY). This is another small airfield located in North Rhine-Westphalia. Of course, it focuses on general aviation and doesn’t have scheduled flights....

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is just around the corner now, and in anticipation of the game Bethesda has released the launch trailer for its much-hyped first-person shooter. It appears that the newest patch for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has made it load somewhat faster. The game was updated last week, and now has a VR mode for Labo. It seems like it has undergone some improvements as well, with speedrunner Alex de Champris tweeting evidence of sorts pointing to quicker loading times. Telltale Games stunned the world when they abruptly announced their closure last Friday, laying off hundreds of employees and leaving a skeleton crew of 25 to continue winding down the business. Today Dragami Games CEO Yoshimi Yasuda teased the return of a game that many will remember, Lollipop Chainsaw. Yasuda-san did not provide many details besides simply saying that the game will return by Dragami Games, both in English and Japanese.
