Earlier today, the ESA expectedly canceled E3 over the growing concerns of the COVID-19/coronavirus pandemic. Following the news of E3 2020’s cancellation, Microsoft and Ubisoft have announced plans to have their own show, with Black Flag and Halo. Alright, probably not the former (but I’d certainly take a Black Flag sequel). Both publishers plan on presenting the same games and news, now via digital events. “E3 has always been an important moment for Team Xbox,” wrote Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer on Twitter....

Today third-party developers shared news and a couple of releases of Microsoft Flight Simulator add-ons, including both aircraft and airports. We start with a trailer for Hype Performance Group‘s Airbus H145 civilian and military cargo versions coming with the Action Pack. This is the final trailer for the package, and the developer teased “multiple exciting projects to share very soon” beyond it. Next comes Orbx, showing more of the assets for Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ESSA) in Sweden, alongside a look at Terminal 3....

The developers over at Asobo have been hard at work at patching up some serious bugs and glitches found in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Some of these issues only presented themselves after the recent Japan update. Nevertheless, the list of fixes to Microsoft Flight Simulator reveal that a lot of major holes have been plugged via the new 1.9.5.0 patch. For starters, opening the VFR map for navigation will no longer result in the sim crashing....

Sonic the Hedgehog fans may be reveling in the newely released Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, but there’s another sonic game that should interest to fans of the little blue speedster. Two indie game developers, identifying themselves only as Mercury and Pelikan13, have released a three level demo of Sonic Fan Remix. In November 2016 developer Semisoft revealed their new JRPG Legrand Legacy which eventually reached its Kickstarter funding goal. The game also made it onto Steam after being Greenlit. Today Semisoft revealed that they expect the game to release in early 2018 and they have secured additional publishers for a worldwide launch with Another Indie handling the worldwide launch and Mayflower Entertainment looking after South Korea. Semisoft are hoping these new partners will help boost awareness prior to launch....

Psychological scare fest Layers of Fear: Legacy will be hitting the Nintendo eShop for Switch on February 21. Today is the spookiest day of the year. Now, in honour of this occasion, Breath of the Wild modders have released a new fan-made DLC for the game known as “The Halloween Hunt”. Waikuteru (whose name you may recognise from the Breath of the Wild ‘Second Wind’ mod) worked with fellow modder Sockpoppet to create this haunting DLC. It includes new challenges, armour, weapons and NPCs. Oh, and there is also a new boss to defeat - The Phantom Rider....

Lego and Nintendo have confirmed the upcoming release of the LEGO NES set previously revealed via leaked photos published on Chinese gaming website VJGamer. This 2,646 piece set will allow you to construct both a replica of the NES and a retro tube television that displays a Lego version of Super Mario Bros. It’s a large and elaborate model that will certainly demand quite a bit of time and effort to complete....

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be crossing over into Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, Capcom and Nintendo have revealed. The collaboration basically allows you to play as Link, complete with his Breath of the Wild clobber and assorted weaponry. CBS All Access has dramatically expanded its library of selections with about 3,500 new episodes from over 70 shows, and more. “CBS All Access showed a bit of its hand today, announcing it added some 3,500 episodes to its service from roughly 70 new shows, including series from BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, TV Land, VH1, and the Smithsonian Channel. It’s also added more Paramount Pictures flicks since its initial announcement in May, with more than 150 movies now available to stream....

Ubisoft’s upcoming Far Cry 3 Classic Edition is reportedly coming to brick-and-mortar retailers, if a listing on a New Zealand retailer is anything to go by. Far Cry 5 Season Pass holders will be getting a digital copy of the critically acclaimed open-world title, although Ubisoft previously revealed it would be giving the Classic Edition a standalone launch too. However, at the time it wasn’t known if this would mean a digital-only release, but it seems this won’t be the case....

Lords of the Fallen 2’s executive producer Tomasz Gop has left CI Games after a clash of ideas for the future of the franchise, the developer has revealed. “We’re grateful for his input, but we have different visions for further development of the series and Tomasz will not be a part of CI Games’ progress,” said CI Games in a news conference today seen by Eurogamer Poland. “We want to reach a wider audience for this game....

Overwatch League kicked off its awards season honoring the recipient of the 2019 Dennis Hawelka Award during the weekend’s play-ins.
