Square Enix has confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 3 will feature a bunch of nostalgia-flavoured mini-games inspired by 1980s-era LCD gaming. A new trailer for the highly anticipated Disney-RPG sequel confirms that four mini-games will be included, and if you’re old enough to remember the Game & Watch, then chances are you’ll be lapping them up. After confirming a western release last month, publisher Gameforge has announced that its MMORPG/RTS hybrid Kingdom Under Fire 2 will be heading to PCs in November 2019. A long-awaited entry in the Kingdom Under Fire series (with an announcement dating back to 2008 and Russian beta happening a few years back), this will be the first time the game is getting an official English release. EA and Velan Studios have announced that they’re making multiplayer dodgeball game Knockout City free for all players to try up to level 25. The news comes following the conclusion of the game’s launch Block Party event, which saw the entire game available for free for ten days. Going forward, the game will be available at no cost to new players until they reach Street Rank 25, giving them ample opportunity to sample the game and its various game modes including Team KO, Ball-Up and more....
EA has announced that upcoming dodgeball arena title Knockout City will be going free for ten days from launch as a free trial along with a raft of celebrations known as the Block Party. As detailed on the game’s official website, the full game will be available on all formats for ten days starting from May 21, allowing you to crew up with friends, play all four of the game’s launch modes including Team KO, Diamond Dash, Party Team KO and Face-Off on every map and begin unlocking cosmetics for your player....

Last year, Koei Tecmo announced it would be holding a “Character Creation Contest” during a then-upcoming Nioh 2 beta. The sequel to the company’s 2017 hit, Nioh 2 differs from its predecessor in that players will now be able to sculpt their own heroes for the adventure. Last night SNK dropped another character trailer for the next entry in the upcoming flagship fighting title, The King of Fighters XV. The newest character on the roster is Athena Asamiya. This week’s Fortnite patch notes have arrived for the popular game alongside the latest update, and they’re headlined by the addition of the Air Strike to Epic’s battle royale shooter. Looking like a grenade, chuck it down to rain down a lot of explosive ordinance down on your opponents within a 9 meter radius of where it lands. There’s also a new round of LTRs in this update, including High Explosive Squads, Sneaky Silencers Solo (all weapons are silenced), Classic Squads (weapons from Seasons 1 and 2 only), Solid Gold Duos (Legendary weapons), Catch Squads (No guns, only grenades) and Blitz Squads (where the storm is constantly closing in from the off)....
Google has become the latest technology company to announce mass layoffs, as it today told employees it was eliminating 12,000 roles. Employees were informed of the redundancies this morning via email, in a message from Google and Alphabet boss Sundar Pichai that was also posted to the company’s blog. Titled “A difficult decision to set us up for the future”, the post blamed the job losses on “difficult economic cycles”. Google previously hired staff based on the “dramatic growth” it had seen over the past two years, Pichai stated, which now did not reflect the “economic reality” today....
