There’s FromSoftware’s newest IP, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, as well as Square Enix’s Left Alive. Old franchises offer new beginnings via The Division 2, Devil May Cry 5, and Tropico 6. Past escapades return to the fold such as the case with the remastered versions of Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed Liberation....

Nintendo has released a pair of new videos ahead of the launch of mixed reality title Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit later this month. The first video, the launch trailer, details what the game—first revealed as part of the Mario 35 Anniversary celebrations last month— is all about. In the box is an RC Kart (either Mario or Luigi, depending which one you’ve bought), a USB charger, four cardboard gates and 2 arrow markers....

Crystal Dynamics has announced that Jane Foster: The Mighty Thor will join the heroes of Marvel’s Avengers next week. As teased back in April, the Jane Foster version of the character will debut in the game’s next update. She’ll be a free addition, and will be a full new character complete with new voice lines, her own gear and some of her own bespoke abilities. A new design blog reveals that she’ll have a fierce warrior like design, with her default design taking inspiration from the 2014 Thor #1 comic book....

Eidos Montreal has released a new developer insight video for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, this time focusing on the character designs for the infamous fivesome. As described by art director Bruno Gauthier-Leblanc: “When designing the Guardians, it was important they remained true to the narrative we had built while still being instantly recognisable as the Guardians of the Galaxy fans know and love. We combined inspiration from Marvel comic lore with our own character backstories to craft new visuals for this fun and dysfunctional family, infusing each Guardian with specific design aspects that also tie into gameplay....

BioWare’s decision to focus development of Mass Effect 4 on new-gen consoles and PC will bring big benefits to the gameplay, BioWare exec Aaryn Flynn has explained in a post on NeoGAF. Flynn was posting in relation to concerns that the new Mass Effect would be based on a template set out by Dragon Age Inquisition. “I’ve seen a few thoughts like this recently, and thought I’d weigh in as much as I can right now,” he explained....

Play as Master Chief in Yakuza 0 thanks to the power of modder Kashiiera. The mod, uploaded earlier this week, replaces usual protagonist Kiryu Kazuma with Halo’s poster boy Master Chief. Specifically his incarnation in Halo 3. Kashiiera is primarily a Halo modder as it’s their favourite franchise, but they also love Yakuza and so worked hard to project Master Chief’s model correctly onto Kiryu’s to keep him looking as natural as possible....

The director behind the upcoming Metal Gear Solid movie has gone hands-on with Death Stranding, and it’s fair to say Hideo Kojima’s latest project has left quite an impression. Elsewhere, Norman Reedus, who is one of the main characters in the Kojima Productions-developed title, described Death Stranding as a ‘crazy complicated game’ in an interview with Metro. Today third-party Microsoft Flight Simulator aircraft developers shared an update about an upcoming aircraft and announced another. We start with Ouroboros Jeys, which released a development update and new screenshots of its EMB-500 Phenom 100. EXTERIOR “Gooday’ Ouroboros. Today we have an update for you on the Phenom 100. Microsoft is not interested in returning to the cancelled dragon ARPG Scalebound, which was in development from 2013 to 2017 (via Eurogamer). In an interview with IGN, Xbox boss Phil Spencer squashed the rumours that the exclusive would be getting a revival, but expressed sadness over the property’s eventual dormancy. “It’s a tough one,” he began. “I have a ton of respect for Platinum, [director Hideki] Kamiya-san and the team and I feel no ill-will....

“Outlaws to the end.” It’s not just the slogan of Red Dead Redemption, it’s also the name of the game’s first co-op mission pack, releasing on June 22 for the low price of ‘free.’ Rockstar has put up some information and screens for their Facebook fans regarding one of the missions in the pack, called “The Kidnapped Girl.” As you may have guessed, there’s a girl, she’s been kidnapped, and it’s up to you and your posse to get her back....

Since the leak made its way to Twitter, fans have speculated what the new partnership between Nintendo and Blizzard could mean. Subnautica is all about exploring the unknown sea on an alien planet, but there are some reasons why you are there. The first installment is set in the late 22nd century. It follows the story of Alterra, a corporation focused on interstellar travel and exploration of other planets. You play as Dr. Riley, as the lone survivor on the alien planet 4546B. Dr. Riley explores the planet which is almost submerged underwater, gathers resources, and uses tech left by people who died at 4546B trying to find their way out....

Marvel Snap, the new digital card battler from Second Dinner and Ben Brode, has finally been launched globally for PC and mobile devices. As we like to say, Verdansk is constantly changing. That is especially true when it comes to the latest denizens to join Call of Duty: Warzone. The undead landed by boat on the southeast coast of the map recently and have unsurprisingly spread to a new area. The prison is the latest site to host the undead, but it’s surely not going to be the last. Perhaps the most alarming thing about this discovery is that Armistice Central Command is playing dumb to it all....

Baldur’s Gate 3 definitely won’t release this year. That’s according to a new developer update from Larian Studios, which has now definitively confirmed that the highly-anticipated game won’t leave early access until 2023, affirming what Swen Vincke, founder of Larian and creative director of BG3, intimated to Eurogamer earlier this year. Jeff Hardy was at his peak as a main-event performer in the summer of 2009. His program with CM Punk was the perfect recipe to get Hardy to the next level, and truth be told, it elevated Punk at the same time. There have been some rumors swirling about that Destiny 2 developer Bungie is working on a new IP. The new game, rumored to be titled Matter, sounds like a departure for the studio and unlike anything it’s done. Bungie is eschewing its previous trend of being a one game, and mostly one franchise at a time, developer sometime before the year 2025. This will big departure from how Bungie operated when it was owned by Microsoft and Activision....

The month of June is here, and it’s also E3 season. There are quite a number of new games coming out as well as expansions. We’ve got Destiny 2: Penumbra, The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr, Path of Exile: Legion, Warhammer: Chaosbane, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Steel Division 2, and The Sinking City. We’ll also see a bit of racing from MotoGP 19 and F1 2019. This month will also see the arrival of several new games that initially released on other platforms....
