The first man, who was flashed upon to use the electricity for calculation purposes, was probably a German mechanic, showman, electrifier and miracle healer, physicist, chemist, teacher, author, and mail order company owner, named Johann Conrad Gütle (1747-1827)....

Sega has released a new trailer for the upcoming Yakuza Kiwami 2, one which focuses on the ‘forbidden romance’ between the series protagonist and antagonist-turned love-interest Kaoru Sayama. Yakuza Kiwami 2, which is set to release for Western PS4 users later this year and PC at a later point, is a remaster of the second entry in the long-running franchise. In keeping with the noir crime drama of the first title, there’s a high turnover of criminal types between two competing crime organisations — The Tojo Clan and the Omi Family/Alliance....

The worst-kept gaming secret of 2020 has been confirmed true. During N7 Day today, BioWare lifted the veil on Mass Effect Legendary Edition, a full remaster of the famous trilogy. The collection rolls together Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 along with all DLCs and promotional content. The game comes to PC in spring 2021. Many of us had a strong inkling that a remaster was on its way....

Today Type-Moon released new gameplay of the upcoming DLC characters that will be released for its 2D fighting game Melty Blood: Type Lumina. Focus Home Interactive has acquired Leikir Studio, developer of the upcoming Metal Slug Tactics, it’s been announced. The two companies made their union official this Valentine’s Day with a joint statement. Leikir will be the fifth studio acquired by the company, with other recent purchases Deck13 and Streum On. The statement didn’t note the terms of the deal. It did note, however, that the upcoming grid-based strategy, based on the SNK series, will still be published by previous Focus acquisition, Dotemu....

4A Games has a tradition when it comes to its Metro franchise. It releases a title, then two years or so down the line a “redux” version of that game comes out, hence Metro Last Light: Redux. However, this time around 4A Games is dropping its naming scheme but keeping the theme. The studio is releasing Metro Exodus: Enhanced Edition, a new version of its latest title fitted with plenty of next-gen enhancements for PC, including “Advanced Ray Traced Reflections” and DLSS support....

The new content is available for free on the Minecraft Marketplace until June 30. It consists of various selections from the Minecraft: Education Edition.
