PlatinumGames co-founder Hideki Kamiya has said that he’d like to develop Bayonetta 3, and that he already has ideas for a sequel to 2006 RPG Okami. Speaking to UK newspaper Metro, Kamiya teased that he would take into account the interviewer’s preference of Bayonetta’s original haircut “when we start doing 3, if we ever make 3”. “Of course want to make [Bayonetta] 3,” he continued. “Why should it end at 2?...
Square Enix has pumped out the full-length Tokyo Game Show trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3, following last week’s taster depicting the arrival of Big Hero 6. This latest footage of the upcoming Disney-flavoured RPG clocks in at over three minutes, and features plenty of cutscene and gameplay footage, complete with the series’ traditional melodramatic voice acting. It wouldn’t be Kingdom Hearts without it though, right? Kingdom Hearts 3 is pencilled in for a January 29, 2019 release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One....
Yesterday, Activision announced its earnings for the first quarter of fiscal 2010. For the three month period ending March 31st, the world’s largest games publisher saw net revenues of 1.3 billion dollars, an increase of 33% over the previous year. Even more significant, Activision’s 381 million dollar profit fully doubled what the company had achieved the previous fiscal year. Obviously, a sizable portion of this revenue stems from Modern Warfare 2, which is now the best selling third-party game of all time....
Tonight, Riot Games confirmed that it’s not afraid to branch out and try new things with League of Legends during its 10th anniversary live stream. It announced a new fighting game, a new first-person shooter, and an action/role-playing game. It also confirmed it would bring the LoL experience to consoles and mobile with Wild Rift. So what else could it possibly take on next? Well, how about Hearthstone? Yes, the company confirmed its foray into the digital card game market with Legends of Runeterra....
The League of Legends patch 10.12 update displays the effect that the Marksmen buffs have had on the meta. So far not many changes have been fully made; this patch is just a general touch-up aside from Yasuo. Yasuo was recently indirectly buffed with the changes done to the Zeal items. Riot Games thankfully didn’t forget about that and will be nerfing him this patch. Meanwhile, Akali gets a buff, and major rune changes are coming....
Days Gone is only days away from releasing on the PlayStation 4 and, thanks to some leaked footage, we may have an idea of how it’s going to play. Days Gone is an open-world zombie survival game from SIE Bend Studio and is published by Sony. It also releases this week, which is strange, as there doesn’t seem to be a lot of hype behind it. Previous footage of the game has left many people feeling rather ambivalent towards the game since it seems to cover the same ground as the phenomenal The Last Of Us....
To celebrate League of Legends’ 10th anniversary, Riot Games recently revealed a number of exciting announcements for long-time fans, among them being a new card game based on the popular MOBA titled Legends of Runeterra. With a similar design to Blizzard’s Hearthstone, the game is technically already available in beta form. So far, some select streamers have been fortunate enough to be given access to the beta, which no doubt leaves some fans frustrated that they can’t try out the game now....
A Limited Edition Destiny: The Taken King PlayStation 4 console will be available across Europe, Australia and New Zealand on September 15, Sony Computer Entertainment has announced. The new bundle will include a white Destiny-inspired 500GB Limited Edition PS4 and a physical copy of Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition, which includes Destiny, Expansion I, Expansion II and The Taken King. The set also includes an upgrade to the Digital Collector’s Edition, which includes three exotic Guardian class items with XP bonuses, three class specific emotes, three armour shaders and an early access weapons pack....

By now, it goes without saying that Assassin’s Creed is Ubisoft’s most lucrative franchise. In 2016, Ubisoft announced that the series had sold over 100 million copies. Assassin’s Creed’s main installments has been going on yearly (with the exception of 2008 and 2016) since 2007. Most of the main installments have been very well received, with Assassin’s Creed II and Brotherhood cracking the score of 90 on Metacritic. A 50-year-old man was recently arrested in Japan for selling an x-rated body pillow. On September 12, a man in Ichikawa city was arrested for allegedly selling an inappropriate body pillow cover, which is also known as a hug pillow or dakimakura. The office worker, who denies all charges, is suspected of violating copyright laws by selling a pillow featuring a character from the Love Live! anime. The alleged sale took place on May 2 and was a resale, according to police....

Today, Crystal Dynamics unveiled the sixth playable character slated to appear in Marvel’s Avengers: Inhuman Kamala Khan, otherwise known as Ms. Marvel. She’s introduced in the latest trailer for the game, but as it turns out, Ms. Marvel is more than just a player character–she’s both a narrator in previous game trailers and plays a critical role in the main plot. All of this new information came from New York Comic-Con’s Marvel Games panel, which debuted Kamala Khan’s trailer....
Since Mass Effect: Andromeda takes place an entire galaxy away, it makes sense that there’s very little in terms of character overlap between the game and the original trilogy. Sure, there are plenty of references to people like Liara and Shepard, but we don’t actually get to see them. Interestingly enough, there is one beloved character from the original Mass Effect trilogy that is in Andromeda, but they can only be unlocked using a mod that fixes a couple of broken missions in the game....
2019 is shaping up to be the year of the platform wars, as developers forego Steam, electing to release their games through the Epic Games Store. We already know that The Division 2 and Metro Exodus have made the platform jump, much to the chagrin of PC gamers. However, the player complaints in response to the platform change are being brushed off by at least one Metro Exodus developer. According to a (very loosely translated) post on a Russian online forum known as GAMINATOR, a 4A Games developer named “scynet” has responded to the PC gamer backlash by stating simply that, if this is how players are going to react, the studio just won’t make games for the PC anymore....
4A Games has announced that they’re working on an Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 release of post-apocalyptic shooter Metro Exodus with the hope to release the game next year. While light on specific details the announcement came as part of an open letter from the studio to its fans, and noted the upgraded versions will offer faster frame rates, increased resolutions, reduced loading times and Ray Tracing. The updates will also be offered as a free upgrade to all existing owners of the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4....
Veteran third-party developer FlyTampa announced that its own rendition of Toronto Pearson International Airport (CYYZ) will be released soon for Microsoft Flight Simulator. To be precise, the developer announced today on Facebook that the airport will be released in “a day or two.” This comes just a few hours after REG Designs released its version of the airport, which means customers will have to weigh their options and see which rendition of the major airport they want....
Grip Digital has announced Skylar & Plux: Adventure on Clover Island, a colourful new 3D platformer heading to PS4, Xbox One and PC later this year. Inspired by classic PlayStation titles Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter, Skylar & Plux follows two heroes on an adventure to save their home from being destroyed by an evil villain called ‘CRT’. Along the way players will journey across beaches, volcanoes, mountains and deserts, while unlocking powerful new upgrades like a Jetpack and Magnetic Glove to help traverse the environment and fend off enemies....
