Fans of Marvel’s Avengers are complaining over the latest addition to the game’s paid-for premium skin collection: a Marvel Cinematic Universe-inspired Thor without his helmet on. The issue? Marvel’s Avengers already has a Marvel Cinematic Universe-inspired Thor with a helmet on, while this is being sold separately and for a relatively substantial amount of money. On his own, helmetless MCU Thor costs 1400 Credits (around $14), or comes at 500 Credits (around $5) if you already own the helmeted version (thanks, ComingSoon)....

Xbox has revealed the first batch of games arriving for the month of March on Xbox Game Pass for subscribers of the service. As always, there’s a mixture of games launching straight into the service, along with a fairly big name from Square Enix. Things kick off today with the launch of FAR: Changing Tides. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is launching on PC next month, and it’ll enjoy the benefits of moving to more powerful hardware. Spider-Man will still have ray tracing options, but it does so with an uncapped framerate on PC. That’s some good news. Today, Sony revealed the PC specs for Spider-Man, detailing the requirements needed in order to push the friendly neighborhood super hero to the limit. Marvel’s Spider-Man looked great on the PlayStation 4, but the game will shine on PC....

Today Red Art Games announced via press release that Kadokawa Games’ mecha strategy JRPG Relayer is getting a physical release in the west. The physical release will come in both North America and Europe a bit later compared to the digital launch (which will be on March 24), and precisely on May 20, priced at €59.99/$59.99 on both platforms. There are two kinds of armor in Immortals Fenyx Rising: helmets and body armor. Similarly, there are three weapons: swords, axes, and bows. Unlike similar games, all the equipment doesn’t have stats. Instead, Fenyx has independent amounts of attack and defense that can be upgraded at the Hall of the Gods. Each piece of gear has six upgrades that improve Fenyx’s parameters regardless of what you’ve chosen to equip. But that doesn’t mean that your equipment doesn’t matter....

Amiibo collectors rejoice, preorders are now live for Simon Belmont from Castlevania, Incineroar from Pokémon, Chrom from Fire Emblem Awakening, and Shovel Knight from his own series of games! Avalanche has released the minimum and recommended system requirements for its imminent post-apocalyptic action game Mad Max. The open-world title actually boasts pretty accommodating specs, which should be achievable for most PC gamers. It turns out that before Jeremy Renner took up his bow and arrow and became the MCU’s Hawkeye, he had the opportunity to lead a different comic book movie franchise. As baffling as it might sound now, Guillermo del Toro wanted Renner to see red for his 2004 action-fantasy offering, Hellboy. Renner revealed on Justin Long’s Life Is Short podcast that he was offered “a lot of money” to take the role of Hellboy, which eventually went to Ron Perlman, but he just didn’t want it....

Bandai Namco Games has announced that My Hero Academia’s All Might will be joining the roster for Jump Force. There’s no release date yet for the former No.1 Hero, although he’ll be rocking up soon enough. The reveal comes following a number of characters were leaked via dataminers, which outed a number of combatants for the crossover fighting game, including Grimmjow, Trafalagar Law, and Madara Uchiha. Jump Force was released on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One back in February, although it was a bit of a dog’s dinner, especially when compared to the excellent Dragon Ball FighterZ....

Kerbal Space Program 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the beloved space flight game Kerbal Space Program, seems to continuously fall just out of players’ reach. At first, publisher Private Division intended to release Kerbal Space Program 2 during the spring of 2020. However, various factors prompted the publisher to delay the game three separate times, with 2022 serving as the last projected release year. Many probably hoped that the game would finally come out by then, but as it turns out, the saying “third time’s the charm” does not always apply....

Once considered to be a thing of the past, arcades are slowly making a comeback as gamers pine for the days when quarters lined the dash of game cabinets and the neon glow of the screens were the only lights illuminating the dark rooms. While it wasn’t hard to figure that Microsoft’s Kinect would, eventually, be hacked and its tech exploited, most didn’t figure the quality and quantity of hacks would be so large at this point. After others began exploiting the tech for use with other, non-game related items, one man has been able to utilize Kinect in order to play various video games with surprising results. Some utilize the individual’s movements as if they are a human joystick while others react to specific gestures, but each is extremely impressive and should be enough to inspire Microsoft....

At first glance, developer PQube’s Kitaria Fables looks to be another Stardew Valley-inspired RPG. It shares a lot of the genre mechanics established by Stardew such as farming, mining ores, and upgrading equipment. But beyond the familiar gameplay loop, that’s about where the similarities end. Whilst Stardew Valley is more of a farming lifestyle simulator, Kitaria Fables is undoubtedly an action RPG. Combat reigns supreme, and most of the game’s progression revolves around killing monsters....

Ambition is always a sight to behold. The most impressive of humankind’s endeavors are driven by it and games are no exception. Legends of Ellaria launched in Early Access nearly four years ago. Today it enters full release. The game aims to deliver a sweeping mixture of traditional role playing, real-time strategy, and kingdom-builder gameplay. It’s quite the lofty goal that no doubt would humble many. Throughout its Early Access period, it went through many of the typical ups and downs: performance issues, bugs, and odd design choices abounded....

Hangar 13 has released the first major update for Mafia: Definitive Edition, adding some new custom HUD options as well as a vintage black and white Noir Mode. Elsewhere, the game has also added “new gameplay features” to the game’s Free Roam mode for those who want to explore the city of Lost Haven away from the story. While the notes remain coy as to what exactly has been added, the patch notes hope players ‘fare’ well, so we’d hazard it’s probably related to protagnist Tommy Angelo’s former source of employement before he got embroiled on the wrong side of the law....
