Season two was so popular that it’s now impossible for its lead Daniel Sharman to walk uninterrupted through the streets of, or pay for a meal in Florence, where the show is filmed. During round 2 of the Melty Blood: Type Lumina official tournament, developer Type-Moon announced that the game is going to get more DLC characters. To be precise, four additional fighters are coming in 2022, two in the summer and two in the winter. Their identity has not been revealed and their price has not been decided, which means they’ll possibly not be free like the previous DLC characters. Each character will come with their own story and with a battle stage....

There’s a new secret project in the works that is almost certainly in the Metal Gear franchise. It’s been 4 years since the release of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Four years since we’ve followed the exploits of Big Boss, or anyone else associated with the Metal Gear franchise. And no, Metal Gear Survive does not count as a real Metal Gear game since it’s about zombies and parallel universes and has about as much to do with Metal Gear as Mario does....

Publisher Deep Silver has announced that Metro Redux, a double pack of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, will be heading to Switch on February 28, 2020. Available both physically and digitally, Redux includes the re-released versions of both titles with all DLC included. Gamers that opt for the physical edition will also be treated to a host of bonus goodies to complete their Metro collections. Called the “Ranger Cache pre-order pack,” buyers will receive a pin set, an exclusive sleeve cover for their game box, a double-sided artwork inlay, four double-sided art cards, and a double-sided poster....

Third-party developers released new assets, details, and development updates about upcoming add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator. We start with PMDG; which provided screenshots and information about the upcoming Boeing 737. We learn that the first to release will be the 737-700 including passenger, converted freighter, and business jet versions. If all goes to plan, the next version will come approximately six weeks later, followed by the remaining ones down the line....

It’s being reported that Microsoft are offering PlayStation the ability to put Call of Duty games such as Modern Warfare 2 on PS Plus, should the former’s ongoing deal with publisher Activision Blizzard go ahead. According to Bloomberg, the concession is the latest offering from Microsoft to try and allay fears that the shooter series could be taken away from PlayStation, which many have claimed could “suppress competitors to its Xbox gaming consoles....

E3 will offer gamers the chance to “see the greatest games lineup in Xbox history”, Microsoft has said. The platform holder hyped its line-up while revealing plans for this year’s show, where it’s expected to show off a closer look at Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6 and Halo 5: Guardians, and reveal unannounced titles “coming in 2015 and beyond”. At least one new Gears of War title is expected to be revealed at the show – including an Xbox One remaster of the original game – with an unannounced title from Rare also likely to be shown off....

The fifth character in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass may have been leaked and it’s a big one, or at least it will be to western fans. It hasn’t even hit store shelves or online marketplaces yet, but Immortals: Fenyx Rising already has big plans for post-launch DLC. The game is a new action-adventure title being published by Ubisoft and developed by its studio in Quebec. With comparisons drawn to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Immortals: Fenyx Rising sets players on a quest to free the gods of the Greek Pantheon. Aided by those same gods, Fenyx will discover their own powers, explore vast, magical lands, and combat legendary monsters, like the Cyclops or Medusa....

A couple of years ago, the team at Campo Santo confirmed its next project after the successful Firewatch. That game was In the Valley of Gods, focusing on different pieces of inspiration for its design. Since then, updates about the game have been on the minimal side, though progress was believed to still be moving onward with its development. But that may not be the case anymore. Bithell Games’ Mike Bithell has announced that strategic shooter John Wick Hex will be heading to Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam from December 4. Coming by way of Good Shepherd Entertainment as publisher, the game—which originally launched via the Epic Games Store late last year before a PS4 release in May of this one— will release as a physical product as well as digitally on the aforementioned formats. In case you need a refresher, the game is set before the Keanu Reeves-fronted movies and sees you playing as the titular assassin, as you embark upon a mission to rescue Winston and Charon of the New York Continental, and features voice work from Lance Reddick and Ian McShane reprising their respective roles from the movies....

Tomorrow’s big release is the open-world RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The good news is the game is pre-loading right now so head to steam and get that started if you’ve ordered it. The launch times for the game are global which makes it midnight PST on 13th which means it’s 8AM GMT/9AM CET on the 13th as far as we can tell. Steam is saying around 10 hours from now which would make it 8AM in the UK....

Longtime Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi was on hand at GDC to talk about his career plans post Konami. In an interview, he highlighted the wide gap between AAA and indie sales expectations, that informs the development of games. Igarashi was asked by veteran developer Jeremy Parish about Metroidvanialike indie Rogue Legacy, and its success in selling 100,000 units. Kojima Productions is currently only comprised of four employees, according to a report from The New Yorker. The members of staff include director/game designer Hideo Kojima, art director Yoji Shinkawa, and Kenichiro Imaizumi, a former producer at Konami. The identity of the fourth employee isn’t yet clear.
