Lethal Weapon has gone from being in serious jeopardy to scoring a surprise season three renewal thanks to a shrewd re-casting. Fox officially picked up Lethal Weapon Season 3 with American Pie and Goon actor Seann William Scott replacing embattled Riggs actor Clayne Crawford. However, Scott won’t be stepping into the role of Riggs (as portrayed by Mel Gibson in the original film series). Instead, he’s playing an entirely new character, named Wesley Cole....
Like a Dragon: Ishin! stands in a somewhat odd position. It’s the first release in the series to drop the Yakuza title. It’s a remake of an almost 10 year old game, but is new to audiences outside of Japan. Having played through a couple of hours of an early chapter, I think it’s safe to say that Ishin retains the core of what Yakuza fans dearly love about the series, all with a fresh lick of paint....

Speculation is mounting that a release date for Marvel’s Midnight Suns may be announced soon. That’s thanks to the game appearing on the South Korean ratings board over the weekend. As Eurogamer notes, a listing for the card-based battle RPG was found and posted to the LeaksAndRumors subreddit. The “decision grade” the game was given was a 15, for things like violence and blood. Funnily enough, it also wasn’t the only ratings board the game has popped up on in the past month....
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 was a hit in many different ways. Alongside good but not great critical reception the game sold extremely well on the Nintendo Switch and likely justified not only its development but made a follow-up extremely likely. Multiple reports from social media and The Verge revealed today that the game studio intends to lay off all but 25 of its employees. We start with Digital Design, which will release Lyon–Saint-Exupéry Airport (LFLL). According to the developer is coming this week. It’s one of the busiest airports in France, so it’s bound to be a welcome addition to the simulator. RDPresets is also bringing an airport next week, on July 20....
CrossCode has had a long history behind it. After seven years of development, a successful Indiegogo campaign, and three years of Early Access, the title is now finally released. The sci-fi action RPG stars an amnesiac mute named Lea who desperately wants to regain her memory. The only way to do so is to play CrossWorlds, an MMO of the distant future. Along the way, she’ll run into a number of players and environments and slowly start to recollect her memories....
Microsoft Flight Simulator made a sweeping flight over Gamescom 2022 last week. It was revealed that even more new planes that will be coming in the free Anniversary Edition releasing in November. Third-party add-on studio, iniBuilds, announced it has partnered with Asobo on two more aircraft that will be part of the new release. Coming to the November edition are a couple of historical planes. Both the Curtiss JN-4 Jenny and Grumman G-21A Goose are on their way to the game in just a few months....
PlayStation VR launch title Battlezone has gone gold ahead of its October release, developer Rebellion has announced, potentially making it one of the first PS VR games to wrap up development. That’s according to Variety, who’ve broken both pieces of news last night. They say that the project is now a ‘priority development’ for the streamer and dj2 Entertainment with Seven Bucks Productions. The latter have newly joined the project, and are bringing company leads Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia to produce. Adaptation duties are being helmed by Sonic the Hedgehog (and its sequel) scribes Pat Casey and Josh Miller. Variety also claim from their sources that Johnson could also take a starring role in the film....
