The leaks concerning upcoming DLC for Dragon Ball FighterZ were confirmed yesterday when it was announced that a second season pass with six new fighters was coming to the game. The first new character to be revealed was Jiren, who was recently leaked through a scan of an upcoming Japanese gaming magazine. Jiren’s inclusion in FighterZ isn’t surprising, as fans have been asking for him to be added into the game for a while now....

There is no question that the Kinect is one of the most sought after gifts for under your gamer’s tree this year, and now Microsoft has announced that it will be even bigger and better than ever with free additional DLC content for Kinect Sports and Kinect Joy Ride. DLC is nothing new to the Xbox 360, but offering a free upgrade to a couple of their flagship Kinect titles is a great incentive to stuff you’re stocking with some fancy new hardware....

The opening alone of the final Re: Mind trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 gives fans a lot to be excited about. The original Final Fantasy gang (the characters that appeared in KH1 and KH2) will make their triumphant return when the DLC drops. The Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee (the official name of the aforementioned group of Final Fantasy characters in Kingdom Hearts) was absent from KH3 initially. Nomura and his team had removed them, and the rest of the Final Fantasy cast to keep as much of Kingdom Hearts 3’s attention focused on the original characters of the game such as Sora, Riku, and Kairi....

Kirby and the Forgotten Land, the first 3D adventure in the main Kirby series, arrives later this month, and today Nintendo has released some trailers and a free playable demo to get us excited about the game. In the 5-minute overview trailer, we see quite a bit of the story, gameplay, and mechanics we will experience throughout Kirby and the Forgotten Land. The game’s premise is that Kirby enters a portal in the sky, entering a new world where nature has overtaken civilization....

Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story, an unannounced new title from Riot Games’ Riot Forge label, has been leaked by the South Korean ratings board. As spotted by Gematsu, the now-pulled Game Rating and Administration Committee listing described Mageseeker as an “action game for PC” that casts players in the role of League of Legends champion Sylas, who joined the hugely popular MOBA’s line-up in 2019. Now that this year’s League of Legends World Championship is underway, a new Worlds 2019 song is needed. Last year’s “Rise” was a pretty good choice. But now, Riot Games has outdone itself with a prime selection called “Phoenix.” Posted below, the song is a collaboration between Cailin Russo and Chrissy Costanza. It appears that two-man squads and a solo mode could be coming to new gaming craze Apex Legends in the not-too-distant future. The Respawn title has received rave reviews since its release last Monday, but not everyone is happy to be part of a triumvirate all of the time, hence concerns over the possibility of a solo mode coming to the game. As things stand, a player could simply break away from their squad during the jump or just take off running on his/her own after landing....

A handful of leaked Destiny screens suggest that a new social hub is coming to Reef. Reddit user Megamanexe4, who has previously leaked info regarding the House of Wolves DLC, posted the screens this morning, which suggest a new social hub on Reef, a new level 30 quest called “Nightcrawler” on the Moon’s Ocean of Storms and a forthcoming level 28 Strike titled “Belly of the Beast” in the same location....

Cube is an endgame PvE dungeon activity that yields higher rewards in Lost Ark. It is similar to the Tower and Chaos dungeons except in Cube the difficulty and type of challenges are indicated by different colors. Lost in Random got a new gameplay trailer and a release date earlier today during EA Play Live 2021. The dark fairytale game is heading to PC via Origin and Steam on September 10 this year, where you’ll be able to battle it out with dice to save your kidnapped sister. Lost in Random is coming from the Swedish studio Zoink, which launched Fe back in 2018. Unlike the colorful Fe, however, Lost in Random leans hard on dark themes....

Today, it was revealed that M. Night Shyamalan’s new film, Knock at the Cabin, an adaptation of Paul Tremblay’s book The Cabin at the End of the World, will officially be rated “R.” Via Bloody Disgusting, the announcement comes is significant as this will be the director’s first movie with such a rating since The Happening, back in 2008. Most of the Shymalan-directed films had a “PG13” rating, including The Sixth Sense, The Village, Signs, Unbreakable, and Split, so Knock at the Cabin will probably push the boundaries of violence and horror much more than most of his other movies....

Nintendo announced 2003 Game Boy Advance title Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga is coming to Nintendo 3DS on October 6, this year. During the Nintendo Treehouse livestream that took place after the Japanese publisher’s E3 Spotlight presentation, the handheld remake was revealed, along with an extra mode called Bowser’s Minions wherein you control a school(?) of Goombas, and try to save Bowser. As well as that, new Goomba and Koopa Troopa Amiibo were revealed, with both said to have some functionality in-game....

EA has announced that BioWare Montreal, the studio behind Mass Effect: Andromeda, is being merged into Motive Studios. Both studios are based in Montreal, and this is the official confirmation of the much rumoured diversification of the Andromeda team onto different projects. Speaking to IGN about the merger, EA said, ‘With multiple major projects in development in Montreal, we are merging BioWare Montreal with Motive Studios. This is an ongoing process, but there are many exciting roles and opportunities for everyone on the team’....

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will run at 900p 60 frames per second on Xbox One, the official comparison on the game’s website has confirmed. This represents an improvement over the 720p 60 fps managed by Ground Zeroes. However, PS4 runs at the full 1080p 60 frames per second, meaning this will likely be the platform of choice for multiplatform gamers. That said, PC gamers with a good enough system can run at up to 4K resolution and 60 frames per second....
