Microsoft’s Gamescom press conference will begin at 3pm BST on Tuesday, August 4, the platform holder has announced. The briefing will offer updates on “many of the games coming to Xbox One”, including Scalebound, Quantum Break and Crackdown, and will be streamed live via Xbox One, Xbox 360, Xbox.com and Windows Phone. Halo 5: Guardians, Forza Motorsport 6 and Rise of the Tomb Raider will also be playable on the show floor once Gamescom opens to the public on Thursday, August 6, letting fans go hands-on with some of this year’s biggest games months ahead of launch....

Spotted by user Nirolak on the Resetera forums, the job listing on the Blizzard website is for the position of a ‘Senior Software Engineer, Gameplay, Vehicles’ which will entail the successful candidate being responsible to ‘help create vehicles and build vehicle handling features in a robust first-person engine for an unannounced project....

Jerma985, a Twitch streamer known for doing unconventional streams on Twitch, hosted a backyard carnival stream on Saturday using robot ball launchers operated by his Twitch chat. The carnival, which Jerma has been teasing for the last several months, was a 5 hour stream filled with carnival games, a K’NEX Ferris Wheel, a dunk tank, a claw game and…old lady clowns. Frontier Developments has announced that BD Wong and Bryce Dallas Howard will be rocking up in Jurassic World Evolution this summer. Wong is something of a Jurassic Park legend, having first appeared in the original 1993 Steven Spielberg-directed dinosaur epic as Dr. Henry Wu, and later showed up in Jurassic World. Dallas Howard meanwhile portrayed Claire Dearing in the 2015 action-adventure flick, which features Star Lord Chris Pratt as a Navy veteran who befriends a raptor named Blue....

There are certain platformer mascots I’d like to see make a comeback. Suffice to say, Kao the Kangaroo was not one of them. The original games were average at best. But when the re-release of the sequel hit Steam, the reaction was positive enough that series developer Tate Multimedia decided to put the roo back in the ring with another installment. While I wasn’t expecting much, Kao the Kangaroo is a pretty enjoyable throwback to the early ’00s....

It’s the middle of February, and as promised, Kingdom Hearts has delivered more details concerning its upcoming mobile title, Dark Road. Last time, followers of the game only learned what its official name is, but news this time around presents gameplay details, appearances, and even tie-in events. First and foremost, Dark Road will be accessible on the same app as Kingdom Hearts Union X[Cross], the other mobile game currently unfolding. The Kingdom Hearts development team that created Union Cross also created Dark Road, so this makes sense for the most part....

Today Koei Tecmo announced its Financial Results for the first quarter of the fiscal year related to the period between April 1 and June 30, 2022. For the company as a whole, sales were 18.654 million yen, down 9.1% year-on-year. Operating income was 11.657 million yen, up 19.9% year-on-year. Looking at the Entertainment business, which includes video games and takes the lion’s share of the company’s overall business, sales were 17,805 million yen, down year-on-year from 19,648 million yen....

Few games are iconic within the dating simulation genre as Tokimeki Memorial by Konami, despite the fact that it was never officially localized in English. Now, fan translators at Translated Games have finally filled the gap, proving a patch for the SNES version of the game. The patch can be downloaded here, and it even comes with a few extra goodies. Released in 1994 for PC Engine CD, the game received quite a few ports over time, and the one we’re looking at here is the SNES port released in 1996, titled Tokimeki Memorial: Densetsu no Ki no Shita de (Under the Legendary Tree)....

The developer is well-known for creating finely-tuned mobile games, like Device 6, Year Walk, and Beat Sneak Bandit, and this was no exception. Sayonara Wild Hearts surfaced again in Apple Arcade’s library in September 2019, and came to PlayStation 4 and Switch too....
