BioWare announced as part of yesterday’s N7 Day celebrations that Anthem will allow you to strap on armour inspired by Mass Effect. Your character will be able to deck themselves out in some fancy-looking N7 armour, and to be fair, it looks pretty cool. Sure, there’s going to be a bit of a wait until the next Mass Effect shows up, but we’ll take what we can get, right? You can check it out below....
Today Microsoft and Asobo Studio hosted a livestream showcasing upcoming plans for Microsoft Flight Simulator. As usual, we hear from head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann, Asobo CEO Sebastian Wlock, and executive producer Martial Bossard. We hear that Sim Updates may be slowed down slightly in order to increase stability and the ability to publicly beta test them for a longer time. This may also affect world updates. The sim is getting an experimental option in Sim Update 10 called “Low Power Mode” to decrease CPU and GPU utilization (while sacrificing frame rate)....
Microsoft has announced that it’ll be bumping up the price of Xbox Live Gold in the UK, starting early next month. In other words, you still have time to grab a subscription at the regular price before the changes are implemented. Starting May 8, the one-month subscription will increase from £5.99 to £6.99, while the three-month membership will set you back £17.99 instead of £14.99. The 12-month Xbox Live Gold price will increase by 10 quid, so expect to pay £49....
Intel has given us some fresh and up-to-date gaming performance benchmarks for the Arc A750 graphics card. A video detailing these benchmarks, as well as a blog post, came out earlier today and goes into a fair amount of detail. According to Intel, the Arc A750 is about the same as Nvidia’s RTX 3060, and in some cases, it’s better. This demo is much more thorough than the previous showing in July....

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land, originally released on Wii, is coming to Nintendo Switch as a remake. The remake, announced during today’s Nintendo Direct, is subtitled Deluxe and is a part of the 30th anniversary celebrations for the Kirby series. The development process for any game will unfortunately always be bogged down with cuts and redesigns, and it would seem that Death Stranding is no exception to this rule. Thanks to some older documentation from Death Stranding’s development, it can be seen that one aspect of the game’s unique multiplayer was altered before release. Crystal Dynamics has announced it’ll bring Tomb Raider spin-offs Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris to Nintendo Switch next year. As announced by the Tomb Raider blog, the reveal marks the 25th anniversary of Tomb Raider this week.
