BioWare has finally dropped December’s daily and weekly objectives for Season 3: Luck of the Draw for Star Wars: The Old Republic, and from the looks of it, there’s plenty of content to keep fans engaged for another month. Running through the list, several objectives in SWTOR are repeats of the previous month; for example, the daily objective throughout the month is to earn 25,000 Personal Conquest Points for a player’s Legacy, with an overarching goal of 200,000 per week....

Legendary video game designer – and notable snake oil salesman – Peter Molyneux has announced that his next game will be an industrialist sim called Legacy. In Legacy, you play an inventor looking to grow an industrial empire. To do so, you must first create a product. This part of the game sees you combine various pre-set assets in order to invent a product. Creepy side-scrolling puzzle platformer Little Nightmares is getting a three chapter, £7.99 / $9.99 expansion called Secrets of the Maw. In it, you take on the role of The Runaway Kid, who is trying to escape the harrowing game world of The Maw, as nasty bastards try and catch him in these never before seen areas of the game. The first chapter, The Depths, will be out this July. If you haven’t picked up Little Nightmares as of yet, you can buy the Complete Edition for £23....

An English actor, Aramayo – best known for his 2016-2017 Game of Thrones flashback-scenes stint as a young version of Ned Stark (Sean Bean’s ill-fated Season 1 protagonist) – will play a lead role in The Lord of the Rings previously filled by the recently-departed Will Poulter, as Deadline reports. While details on his character are still sparse, the role is said to be heroic, tentatively referred to as “Beldor.”...

Today Sega released a new trailer of the upcoming major Lost Judgment DLC The Kaito Files. Mafia III’s third DLC, Sign of the Times, is now out for PS4, Xbox One and PC. 2K introduces this DLC in a new trailer that reveals a violent group of cultists called The Ensanglante. Roughly translated that means ‘covered in blood’, or just plain old ‘bloody’. Not at all weird. Naturally, it’s all down to Lincoln Clay to find a means of ridding New Bordeaux of this strange and nefarious threat....

Aside from the unique setting and characters in Maneater, the combat in this shark-based RPG is completely different from most other action RPGs you are likely to play. Alongside having to flop out onto the land like a beached whale in some scenarios, you also have to contend with the world’s best fisherman, who seem to be able to hit you perfectly no matter how deep you dive. While there are some problems with Maneater’s combat, especially the lock on target system, it isn’t the hardest combat to get a handle on....

According to Teikoku Databank, a firm that conducts research into business activity, game developer AlphaDream has filed bankruptcy with the Tokyo District Court. By March 2018, the company was 465 million yen, or $4.32 million USD, in debt. Per Anime News Network, AlphaDream had apparently been performing poorly in the market in the last few years, failing to bring in enough revenue to make up for the deficit garnered through various developed games throughout the years....

The Marvel machine rolls inexorably on, BIFF and KAPOWing everything in its way – and while Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite obviously doesn’t share much with the cinematic universe that’s spawned ten thousand movies, I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the new Marvel vs Capcom game focuses on Infinity Stones and features Ultron and Thanos and so on. Bandai Namco Games has announced that Maxi is joining the ranks of SoulCalibur 6’s increasingly-swelling character roster. Maxi has been knocking around since the days of the original SoulCalibur, back when he was known as The Dandy of the South Seas. He’s also been known as His Past Has No Bearing and A Man Burning With Revenge. Sounds very deep. In this latest game, he returns wielding his trademark nunchaku in combat, which Namco says is capable of unleashing a ‘rain of pain to the opponent....

A lot of leaks seem to come out of the Microsoft store these days. Crysis Remastered first appeared there, and Kingdoms of Amular: Re-Reckoning too. Now, Ubisoft’s recently renamed Gods & Monsters has appeared there under its new moniker of Immortals Fenyx Rising. While this one wasn’t unannounced when it leaked like the other two games we mentioned, fresh details have emerged with the listing. First and foremost is a potential release date....

One of the most entertaining aspects of One Piece Odyssey is the fact that it lets you use some of the Straw Hats’ most iconic moves. Square Enix has poured some cold water on the dreams of anyone hoping to play the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake on anything other than a Sony system. Over the last 24 hours, interest was piqued when Xbox Germany seemingly posted a video of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer on their Facebook, with references to PlayStation removed. It was removed fairly quickly, with a response from Xbox DACH marketing and social lead Maxi Gräff saying the trailer was mis-posted due to ‘an internal mistake’....
