The digital versions of LEGO The Lord of the Rings and LEGO The Hobbit have been deslited from the PlayStation Store, Steam, and Xbox Store, it has emerged. Punters are no longer able to pick up the fantasy adventure games on PlayStation, PC, or Xbox platforms, in a move which is almost certainly related to the expiration of various licenses. A Reddit thread speculates that this is to do with the fact the LEGO games featured dialogue and music from The Lord of the Rings movies....

Limo-spinning game Roundabout will release on Xbox One this Friday, February 20, the game’s developer has announced. The obscure top-down puzzle game sees players taking control of a constantly-revolving limousine, guiding it through a variety of levels while picking up passengers. The game first launched on PC last year and attracted praise from critics for its “absurd” and “amusing” premise. The Xbox One version, meanwhile, includes support for the console’s impulse triggers, remastered video and over 40 achievements....

A couple of trailers for Apex Legends’ upcoming second season of content entitled Battle Charge have seemingly leaked early and appear to confirm that the Kings Canyon map will be going through a few changes. The leak occured on the game’s official Community news feed on the Xbox version of the game, and were swiftly hidden but not before Reddit users managed to snag footage of them. The two trailers introduce new character Wattson and talk about how an EMP blast has seen new forts built, the destruction of other structures and the introduction of the Flyers and Dragons that were revealed during the EA Play event during E3....

Square Enix has held one more War Table announcement stream for superhero adventure Marvel’s Avengers ahead of its launch on Friday, confirming that Kate Bishop will be the first new hero added as free DLC to the game post-launch. If you’re not so hot on Marvel lore, Kate Bishop is original Hawkeye Clint Barton’s protege he trained up from a young age with her own set of Heroic Skills and takedowns based around her archery skills and Olympic-level gymnastic abilities....

Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka is back to work with Spike Chunsoft on a brand-new adventure game titled Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE. The game, recently re-revealed just before Tokyo Game Show, certainly comes with some similarities with the popular Danganronpa franchise, but there are also many differences. It’s worth mentioning that the game also sports the work of Danganronpa character designer Rui Komatsuzaki and composer Masafumi Takada. Metal Gear Online’s Cloaked in Silence DLC, a new dedicated squad-based game type, will launch on March 15, Konami has announced. Cloaked in Silence features three new maps (Coral Complex, Rust Palace, Azure Mountain) and adds Quiet as a playable character. MGO will also introduce a new Survival mode on April 7. Teams of players compete for the highest win streak, with access to the new maps free up to ten times per week – reset every Tuesday during scheduled maintenance....

A sharp-eyed LinkedIn user has spotted an interesting change in Microsoft’s Xbox leadership that for some reason seems to have gone mostly unnoticed.
