Just two days ago, we reported that Microsoft was eyeing Japanese developers for its next round of acquisitions. The news came from a Bloomberg report that said the tech giant had approached numerous Japanese game development companies, none of which could be named due to the dealings being private, with the goal of purchasing them. Nothing came of the supposed talks, and rumor mills were left to spin on which companies Microsoft had approached....
Double Fine Productions has released ports of Psychonauts 2 for Mac and Linux. The critically-acclaimed platform adventure released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows PCs and PlayStation 4 in August last year. Existing owners of the game on Humble and Steam should be able to download the game on Mac and Linux under the existing ownership (Xbox Game Pass isn’t supported on those platforms). The game is now also available on the Mac App Store and soon to be released on GOG....

Xbox One’s Killer Instinct is currently in the process of being adapted for Windows 10, Phil Spencer has confirmed. The head of Xbox confirmed the news during last night’s PC Gaming show (via Xbox Wire). Rare’s new IP, Sea of Thieves, is also in development for Windows 10. Fable Legends and Gigantic were also demoed during the event to show cross-media functionality between Xbox One and Windows 10.
