Overwatch 2 is finally almost here and ready to launch. The game has been a long time coming, and there have been numerous issues along the way that have divided the fanbase. One consistent positive that always unites the Overwatch community is the addition of new playable heroes, and Overwatch 2 is not lacking here. Sojourn, Kiriko, and Junker Queen are joining the fray, but developer Blizzard has now confirmed that Junker Queen is getting hit with a nerf before Overwatch 2 is even out....

Fans of the Kaguya-sama: Love Is War manga will need to brace themselves for some heartbreaking news regarding the manga series. In the 48th issue of Weekly Young Jump, it was revealed that the manga’s final chapter is set to release next week via the publication’s 49th issue. This chapter will provide a firm conclusion to the love-based escapades of its main characters, and is intended to provide a proper ending to most all of the storylines actively taking place at this time....

Award winning space-flight simulator Kerbal Space Program, that of the adorable bug-eyed aliens, has been acquired by Take-Two Interactive. The KSP blog stresses that this is an exciting move for them, and they’re still focused on upcoming expansions for KSP. Originally developed by indie studio Squad, Kerbal has been a favourite on Steam for years. In recent months Valve has been hoovering up former KSP developers (as in, hiring, not literally hoovering up)....

Kingdom Come: Deliverance developer Warhorse Studios has announced a pair of new updates for its troubled medieval RPG, which launched last week with more than a few teething problems. In addition, it’s also taken the time to explain the game’s update history so far, which has been a bit of a mess truth be told. To clarify, Warhorse noted that the number attributed to each update is determined by the format holder, and as such may vary for different regions....

Jungling in League of Legends could be a much more balanced role in the near future. League of Legends gameplay designer Mark “Riot Scruffy” Yetter gave the community something to brace themselves for with his post on the Dev Corner. Massive Jungling XP buffs are coming to League of Legends soon, and no, you don’t need to quit playing ADC when that happens. In the Dev Corner post, Mark talked about how being a Jungler was going to be more of a farming experience rather than a race to see which Jungler ganks first, which puts aside the underlying threat of constant ganks that every bottom lane main fears....

Nick Zano claims he’s never shotgunned a beer before. On its face, this feels ridiculous. If there’s any scripted show on television right now that seems like the cast engages in some periodic competitive drinking behind the scenes, it’s Legends of Tomorrow. But talk to him about it, as we did ahead of “Freaks and Greeks,” the next episode in the show’s still-wonderful fifth season, and it actually makes more sense....

This diorama puzzler from developer Light Brick Studio is yours to claim until tomorrow (22nd December) at 4pm. After that, Epic will unveil its next mystery giveaway. I have personally never played Lego Builder’s Journey, although it sounds right up my street. Our own Christian Donlan was quite enamoured with Lego Builder’s Journey’s breezy, tactile charms when he played through it, calling it “the perfect holiday treat” in his write up....

Sega has unveiled a new combat trailer for Like a Dragon: Ishin. The publisher says the video teaser “shows the new combat styles and diverse weaponry” and gives you a chance to see “the brilliant swordman Sakamoto Ryoma defeat enemies with his samurai sword and trusty gun, using various combat styles including Gunman Style, Wild Dancer Style, Brawler Style, and more”. Roughly around 12PM EST yesterday, Madden released its first patch for their latest edition of their franchise. Fans have been anticipating an update for Madden 23 since its release on August 19th. It was just a matter of when and how extensive it would be. In this first patch (though be it small), the EA Madden Team addressed a variety of key issues worth keeping an eye out for. The team noted in their statement that this was the first of a handful of improvements that will be coming to their new game....

A closer look at Mario Kart 8’s DLC expansion blurb has revealed that players will still be able to play the new courses, even if they don’t actually own them or have a subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Despite fears to the contrary: the information on Nintendo’s official Mario Kart page reads: “Courses from Wave 1 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass can be played from 18th March locally or online in Friends and Rivals races, even if only one player owns the Booster Course Pass or has access to it as part of a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership....

Square Enix first revealed that Black Panther would be a playable character in Marvel’s Avengers last year. It was however right after the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman. The man who brought the character to life on the big screen for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But now, during Square Enix’s E3 2021 press conference, we got a cinematic trailer for Marvel’s Avengers – Black Panther: War for Wakanda. Before the trailer though, the publisher went over some other new things coming to the game....

To coincide with the FPS/rhythm game’s official launch, Metal: Hellsinger has announced a collaboration with streetwear brand DRKN to sell official clothing bearing the title’s name and artwork. The collection features a leather biker jacket, black sweatpants, a black hoodie, and black shirts in both long-sleeve and short-sleeve variants. The shorts and sweatpants range between $50 and $99 USD, while the leather jacket is available for $699. Most of the clothing features the game’s title prominently and artwork of Metal: Hellsinger’s protagonist, the Unknown....

We’re a month away from the release of the first ever Pokémon game for the Nintendo Switch. Just before the first month of 2023 comes to a close, Asobo has squeezed out the first major update for Microsoft Flight Simulator — the Aircraft and Avionics update. This is the first of a new series of subsequent updates that will focus squarely on improving the flight behavior and systems of specific default aircraft. In general, spending a ton of time gaming comes with its own set of negatives and positives, as the industry’s popularity only continues to grow over time. Now, it appears that Japanese politicians are acting on the length of time that kids can play video games. Given the increase in the politicization of various elements of gaming, this doesn’t come as too much of a shock. After all, this is coming on the coattails of years of loot box-related controversies....

Today Bandai Namco announced that JoJo fans will have a chance to try JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R early on PlayStation consoles. An early access demo will become playable between June 16 and June 22 for PS5 and PS4. It’ll include only four characters, Jonathan Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, Dio Brando, and Jolyne Cujoh. You’ll be able to play two modes, online and practice. The announcement was made with a trailer, which you can watch below....

The obviously-happening Just Cause 4 has leaked for a second time, with a Steam advert outing official art for the game alongside the option to pre-order the action sequel (via Kotaku). Just Cause 4 was previously spotted on Walmart, a site that correctly leaked a number of upcoming titles including Rage 2 and Lego DC Super-Villains. It also listed Forza Horizons 5, but we suppose they can’t be right about everything....

The developer behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance has expressed regret that it didn’t have more time to polish the medieval RPG prior to its release on PS4, PC, and Xbox One earlier this month. Speaking during its Weekly Torch blog, Warhorse’s Martin Klima conceded that himself and the team made their ‘share of poor decisions and blunders,’ with the crunch to release day being particularly brutal. Klima went on to describe how Kingdom Come is essentially ‘an indie game at heart’ while combining the visual flare and ‘production values’ of a triple-A title....
