Head of PlayStation Jim Ryan sent an e-mail to staff, asking them to “respect differences of opinion” on abortion rights. Bloomberg has published excerpts from the e-mail, which many PlayStation employees were reportedly angry about. Ryan said that the company and its community are “multi-faceted and diverse, holding many different points of view.” He then went on to say: “We owe it to each other and to PlayStation’s millions of users to respect differences of opinion among everyone in our internal and external communities....

Jim Henson’s 1986 classic fantasy film, Labyrinth, has achieved something that its initial box office performance would never in a million years justify: a sequel. TriStar Pictures is set to take moviegoers back to the world of fairies, goblins and baby-napping glam-rockers who put on random musical numbers within the confines of enormously ominous oubliettes, with a sequel to Labyrinth now officially in the works, according to Deadline. Riot Games has shown off the first footage of its upcoming beat-em-up set in the League of Legends universe, codenamed Project L. The spin-off was shown as part of the studio’s Undercity Nights broadcast. The video detailed that Project L will be an “assist-based fighter” set in the universe of Runeterra. Players will be able to select a team of two fighters from a roster of LoL champions. While the full list of fighters is yet to be finalised, we do see Jinx, Darius, Ahri and Ekko in the video....

Warner Bros and TT Games surprised fans around the world when they revealed Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga for the first time at the Microsoft Xbox E3 2019 briefing. As is tradition before a new World of Warcraft expansion, Blizzard has released a free short story — this one about the Blood Elf faction leader, Lor’themar Theron. It’s called “A Moment in Verse” and is written by Madeleine Roux, the same author who wrote the upcoming World of Warcraft: Shadowlands prequel novel, Shadows Rising. The story focuses on the budding relationship between Lor’themar and First Arcanist Thalyssra, the leader of the Nightborne, one of the Allied Races who joined the Horde during the events of Legion....

EA Games has announced that Madden 20, the next entry in its extremely popular football series, will be making a touchdown on PC this year. Actor Scott Porter, who played Harry Osborn in Marvel’s Spider-Man, has said he won’t be reprising the role in Insomniac Games’ upcoming PlayStation 5 sequel. Porter - who recently portrayed Heimdall in God of War: Ragnarok - was heard in audio logs but only rarely glimpsed as Osborn in the first Spider-Man. However, post-credits sequences found in that game and its Mile Morales follow-up appeared to be setting the character up as Venom in Insomniac’s “darker” Marvel’s Spider-Man 2....

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is a pretty huge package, so it was always going to have some things in need of tweaking via a post-launch update or 12. A patch goes live today that should alleviate some issues folks are having across all platforms. The patch makes several general changes, as well as fixes to all three games. Though, it’s the first game in the series gets the most love. We found the compilation to be a fairly satisfying one for fans of the series....

For a show that was run without a live crowd, AEW delivered with its latest episode of Dynamite on TNT. AEW utilized Daily’s Place, a concert venue in Jacksonville, Fla. owned by the Khan family, and only wrestlers and essential personnel were allowed into the venue. Everyone who entered the building was also examined by medical staff before entering. AEW took some lessons from WWE on the empty-arena concept and corrected some of the issues WWE had with RAW and SmackDown....
