Despite the rise of digital card games on a massive scale, physical card games still hold a special place in the hearts of many. Yu-Gi-Oh is one of these games, and its fans are some of the most dedicated in the industry, whether through amazing Yu-Gi-Oh cosplay, memes, tributes, the multiple incarnations of the TV show, or the game itself. A lot of people are most familiar with Yu-Gi-Oh through the television show or the various video games that have come out over the years, but the physical game is so widely played that tournaments, from local to international, have always been massive events....

The creator behind the excellent-looking PC remake of P.T. has announced that the project is no more, with Konami issuing a takedown notice for the game. Qimsar confirmed in a statement that P.T. version 0.9.5 was due to roll out a few weeks back, at which point ‘all I would have needed to make adjustments to from that point would have been some minor lighting tweaks, the rain, the cockroaches, a few missing textures etc....

Neostream, the developer of the adventure title Little Devil Inside, has apologised for the “racist stereotypes” present in its enemy design, and will change these characters accordingly (via IGN). The latest trailer for the game premiered in The Future of Gaming showcase from Sony. The hero travels all over the world, encountering dragons and sailing on the high seas, in a seemingly Victorian era setting. In the trailer, these tribal characters are barrelling towards the player, and their design has been criticised for their dreadlocks and large lips....

This morning, Xbox head Phil Spencer let the world know Microsoft was planning to sweeten its $68.7bn Activision Blizzard deal (perhaps specifically with the FTC in mind) by assuring consumers that, should the company’s proposed acquisition go through, it would commit to putting Call of Duty titles onto Nintendo consoles for 10 years. Concept art for a future Silent Hill game has leaked online. Leaked by Twitter user AestheticGamer1 aka DuskGolem, the images included have been removed due to copyright, all but confirming their legitimacy. The leaker claims this isn’t the only Silent Hill game in existence. It also appears the names Anita and Maya are significant, as are SMS Messages. Another leaker, Michael17508009, has posted images online too - these are yet to be taken down (at the time of writing)....

A new key visual and trailer has been released for the popular anime Lycoris Recoil to promote the epic conclusion of Season 1. Each episode has showcased the all-girl group of agents known as “Lycoris,” who fight to keep the peace in a terroristic world. Third-party developers had interesting reveals to share about upcoming add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator. We start with the announcement of a freeware rendition of the ultra-popular business jet Bombardier Challenger 300. It was shared by WNpilot101 and the initial test release is supposed to come on May 1. Next is an update from Synaptic Simulations, which is making progress with its Airbus A220. “Being the world’s best-selling super-midsize aircraft, the Bombardier Challenger 300 deserves to come to life in the world of Microsoft Flight Simulator....

It appears that Muv-Luv fans may have to wait for quite a while before they’ll be able to play the brand new mobile game Immortals: Muv-Luv Alternative again. The game was released on March 17 as expected, but issues with the servers caused an emergency maintenance until the day after. Players were then able to play for a few hours (and personally speaking, the game is actually really sleek), but then a critical issue was found, causing the developer to bring the game down once again, before removing it from the stores completely to avoid causing confusion....

Prey for the Gods, an indie game that found life on Kickstarter and is estimated to release later this year, is now Praey for the Gods. In a newsletter posted a few days ago, the dev No Matter was able to talk about it, stating it hadn’t signed any kind of NDA, and named Bethesda and ZeniMax as having brought trademark law up against the name of the game.
