Nintendo 64 party games Mario Party 1 and 2 will be released on Nintendo Switch Online 2nd November. Released in 1999 and 2000 respectively, these games launched the popular series that already has two Switch games. They are known for their popular themed boards and frantic minigames. Both games were among a list of classics confirmed for the subscription service’s expansion pass. There’s no news yet on a release date for Goldeneye, however....
We all hate it when we go to download a game, only to be told that we don’t have enough space. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy‘s PC install size was primed to be 150 GB, which would understandably make some players skittish. In a tweet, the game’s official Twitter account has confirmed that the game will be a good deal smaller than it initially seemed. Apparently, the team is “optimizing the final game” and, when all is said and done, the game will instead ask for 80 GB when it launches....

Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive has revealed its next game: Meet Your Maker. It’s a first-person building and raiding game that takes place in a hellish, post-apocalyptic wasteland, with players building towering industrial outposts filled with traps to protect genetic material - and then infiltrating the outposts of others to steal the precious resource. It certainly feels like a departure from the popular horror multiplayer game, both in its genre and its aesthetic....

In the run up to the 20th anniversary of Metroid Prime’s release, I’ve been watching and rewatching playthroughs on Youtube. My controllers have been scattered, my discs are in the loft, and this is as close as I can get to this vivid, potent, unsettling classic. Every video, there’s always a shock right near the start: the GameCube logo. It’s weird. I know that this shouldn’t surprise me - I know that I’m watching these videos in part because this game is 20 years old....
Today, third-party developers had relevant news and releases to share about Microsoft Flight Simulator add-ons including aircraft and scenery. We start with Ouroboros, which provided a development update and new renders of its freeware Embraer E170. The update focuses mostly on interior modeling, with the flight deck being based on a 3D scan of the real aircraft to help ensure that it’s as close as possible to it. Jason Momoa, known for his hulking and somewhat imposing roles in Game of Thrones, Dune and Justice League, is on the cusp of landing his newest role. But this time, it seems the muscular lead will be taking on a much blockier persona than we are used to seeing, as The Hollywood Reporter has reported Momoa is currently in “final talks” for Warner Bros.’ live-action Minecraft adaptation.
