Magic: The Gathering Arena started its closed beta in Dec 2017, then moved to an open beta in Sept 2018. Today, Wizards of the Coast announced that the digital collectible card game will officially launch on Sept 26. Coming with it will be a new card set, Throne of Eldraine. Players can already experience a new Brawl mode for a sneak preview of Throne of Eldraine before release. This new set brings a new plane where players will experience the world of Magic: The Gathering in conjunction with the fantasy of Grimm’s Fairy Tales and the Arthurian legends....

Just off the backs of the recent release date announcement for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope during the Nintendo Direct Mini, Ubisoft has unveiled some brand new tactical gameplay for the sequel. The news came about during a follow-up showcase event earlier today, which was entirely focused on showing off the game’s combat, as well as a few other surprises. Microsoft has just announced that is bringing a new version of its popular subscription service to PC in the form of Xbox Games Pass for PC. As per the full announcement by Xbox head Phil Spencer, though the service will share the same name as the currently existing service for Xbox One, it’ll be especially tailored to the PC, with more than 100 games from over 75 partners, including games from Sega, Paradox Interactive, Devolver and Bethesda to name a few....

Asobo Studios rolled out the second patch update for Microsoft Flight Simulator today, and boy is it big. This update, version 1.8.3.0, has an extensive list of notes where it basically seems like just about every area of the sim has been tweaked and fixed in one way or another. This patch mainly targeted the heavily reported issues that were impacting gameplay though. This includes areas like “game” performance, the aerodynamics of each aircraft, various aircraft systems, and flight behavior....

Microsoft Flight Simulator is weeks away from its August 18 release at this point. Like every other major first-party title before it, Flight Simulator has been pegged to launch via the Microsoft Store for Windows 10. But, the company has been a little more supportive of a certain other marketplace in recent times. That said, Microsoft has formally announced that Flight Simulator will indeed be coming to Steam. It’s been a while since Total War: Warhammer 2 made the rounds. Every single penny of net revenue from Crytivo’s game store will be donated to support those affected by the Australian wildfires, the developer has said on its website. In addition, 30 percent of the money it makes from Steam Games will also go to the cause. The donations will be part of what Crytivo is calling Mission Koala, which the San Diego-based developer says they hope will inspire others to help those affected by the fires in any way they can....

Respawn Entertainment appears to be working on a new PvE mode for Apex Legends. Dataminers have reportedly uncovered an extensive cache of files within Apex Legends pointing towards just that. The PvE mode offers a range of mission-based challenges, as well as a range of new enemy types. Each of these enemy types is tagged with the prefix “PVE.” This PvE mode could potentially arrive with the launch of Apex Legends Season 3....
