Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai feels he isn’t able to reveal what games he’s been playing in his free time, in case players think it’s a confirmation for Smash (via Nintendo Life). The game features a ridiculous number of characters from other games (but never TV or movies), from Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses to Incineroar from Pokémon Sun and Moon. Also, Sans from Undertale. Understandably, there are a lot of other characters that fans would love to see get their teeth kicked in on the Spiral Mountain stage, or get utterly wasted on the New Donk City Hall....

At their E3 press conference earlier this week, EA announced the upcoming multiplayer beta for Medal of Honor was set to launch June 21st, this Monday. Well, that date still rings true for PS3 and PC, but not so much for the Xbox 360 as it has been delayed. Capcom’s marking the 30th anniversary of Mega Man in style with the launch of Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 for the Nintendo Switch. Fans of the classics platform series will be able to pick up the bundles individually on the eShop or at retail as a double pack from May 22. Konami has revealed Metal Gear Survive, a new co-op stealth game that is said to be a “new addition to the Metal Gear Solid V experience.” The game, the first in the MGS series since creator Hideo Kojima left to form his own studio, is due for release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2017. Metro Exodus has sold approximately 200,000 copies in its first few days on Steam, which pleases its publisher’s parent company, Embracer Group (via GamesIndustry.biz). Today Microsoft has announced that more people have pre-ordered the Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition in five days than any Xbox console ever. Last November we took a look at Intel’s first 12th generation desktop processors, and today we’re back to finish the job. In that initial piece, we reviewed the Core i9 12900K and Core i5 12600K and came away impressed. As it turns out, a modern 10nm process, a larger L3 cache and a new hybrid architecture with ‘Performance’ and ‘Efficient’ cores adds up to a very capable CPU lineup. Yesterday iam8bit and Capcom revealed a limited edition SNES cartridge version of Street Fighter II, being sold for the game’s 20th anniversary.
