The NPD Group has confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 3 was the best-selling video game in the US for January 2019. In addition to scoring the number one slot last month, the Disney-flavoured RPG also gave the franchise its first top spot position since Kingdom Hearts 2 way back in April 2006. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is getting a remaster, along with all of its DLC, to be released in August (via PC Gamer). Developed by 38 Studios, the game is a fantasy ARPG set in the Faelands, one of the Kingdoms of Amalur, and split into five distinct regions. The player, a resurrected member of either the Almain, Dokkalfar, Ljosalfar, or Varani race, has the ability to alter the fates of others and therefore stop the invasion of the corrupted Winter Fae into the Faelands....

Kitty Powers’ Matchmaker, which has already proved popular on PC and mobile platforms, will launch for PS4 and Xbox One on February 7. The game sees players setting up a dating agency with Kitty Powers as their mentor. Konami has announced the formation of a new publishing branch which will focus more on third-party, Western developed titles. “The drive is towards publishing more titles from Western studios,” says Richard Jones, senior European brand and business development manager at Konami, in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz. “So the focus for the European team is domestic audiences.
