Ikumi Nakamura, a concept artist on Okami, Bayonetta, and The Evil Within, would leap at the opportunity to make a new Okami game with director Hideki Kamiya (via Siliconera). Late last year, Nakamura and Kamiya posed for a photo in what I assume to be the lobby of Platinum Games, in front of the developer’s glittering logo. “Okami is going to be back! We want to make Okami sequel and fans are looking forward to it too,” she said in a Twitter post....

J. Allen Brack is leaving the company following the filing of a harassment and discrimination lawsuit against Activision Blizzard. Two weeks ago, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing filed a lawsuit against the company, accusing it of fostering “frat boy” culture, sexual harassment, and discrimination. His departure was reported earlier today by Bloomberg. In a message shared by Activision Blizzard President Daniel Alegre, the company announced that Brack was “leaving the company to pursue new opportunities....

Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams has announced plans to venture into video game development with the newly-formed Bad Robot Games. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Abrams’ new outfit plans to cobble together both large-scale and indie titles spanning mobile, PC, and consoles. Brain Weinstein, president and COO of Bad Robot, revealed plans overnight that the studio is partnering with Chinese media juggernaut Tencent to launch its own games division....

Police arrested a Japanese man in Shinjuku, Tokyo who threatened Square Enix headquarters with arson via an online form on their website. The incident comes just a few weeks after an attack on an animation studio in Kyoto left 35 people dead. The man, a delivery worker, reportedly lost while playing a mobile game and sent the message to the company via a feedback form. He demanded a refund for the game and threatened to repeat the Kyoto animation incident....

Bandai Namco released another character trailer of its upcoming fighting game JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R. The video focuses on Noriaki Kakyoin and his iconic long-range Stand Hierophant Green. Bandai Namco Games has cobbled together a brand new Jump Force trailer for you to have a gander at, and it’s all about the game’s story. I don’t have a bloody clue about anything that’s going on, but there’s a lot of bright colours involved, so that made me happy at least. There’s a couple of recognisable faces in the footage, including Goku, Naruto, and Light Yamagi, and it’s all very dramatic stuff....

A large portion of fans view Kevin Conroy as the definitive voice of The Caped Crusader. Valve has released SteamOS 3.3 along with a stable, updated version of the Steam Deck client. The new version of SteamOS has plenty of new features as well as bug fixes. Following Valve’s warning a couple of weeks ago about the Steam Deck’s performance in high temperatures, temperature notifications have been added which warn you when the console goes outside of the safe operating range. Back on April 1, Love Live! Sunshine!! fans were treated to the “announcement” of a spinoff anime titled Genjitsu no Yohane: Sunshine in the Mirror. It turns out it’s real.
