BioWare has marked N7 Day with the launch of a new Mass Effect: Andromeda patch, adding Xbox One X support to the critically polarizing sci-fi epic. Oddly enough, the developer has yet to make any formal announcement regarding the update, although WindowsCentral has confirmed that Andromeda now indeed runs at 4K resolution. The patch is out now and weighs in at around 1.68GB. BioWare will probably reveal full details on the update at some point today, although users have already begun downloading the update and posting screens online....

Priced £3.29, the pack enables Minecraft players to explore the Mars Base Camp from Mass Effect 3, whilst also making use of Mass Effect textures and craftable items to create their own content. In an absolutely massive move by Xbox Game Studios, Microsoft has entered an agreement to acquire ZeniMax Media, including Bethesda. ZeniMax Media is the owner of Bethesda, bringing over a massive portfolio of published franchises alongside of course, Bethesda Game Studios. For the next generation and beyond, Microsoft will publish Bethesda franchises. What that means for previously announced Bethesda titles remains to be seen. Turbine’s involvement in Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons and Dragons Online has come to an end. Both LOTRO and DDO have been around for years but the games have now been acquired by indie standing Standing Stones Games.
